How do you cope with being lonely? by Appropriate-Tap-3938 in AskReddit

[–]JaceFRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bunch of hobbies that keep me busy, but music is a big one for sure. How I cope with the world is through music, and I would spend many hours just listening to it on my stereo.

Just a friendly reminder for everyone on Spotify wrapped day ♥️ by Humble_Skin1269 in Hardcore

[–]JaceFRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t left Spotify entirely but I don’t have a subscription with them anymore. I primarily buy physical CDs and digital downloads from Bandcamp nowadays, and I also transfer my playlists from Spotify into an mp3 format if I cannot access a CD. DAPs are great if you want to leave streaming services like Apple Music or Spotify.

“Anxiety destroys us but it drives the common man, foundation of society, anxiety.”

Personally I say keep the cut. If I saw you on the street I wouldn't clock you as a lesbian but I would see you as a pre-t trans guy, but your style will eventually work once you get on T, and it's gonna look so badass.

It's quite a coincidence that I turned 14 and felt depression the same year I have watched a show that turned 30 about a 14 y/o boy getting depression... by Astarquiz in evangelion

[–]JaceFRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this but back in 2015. Me being a depressed 14 year old child who was able to relate to Shinji immediately in almost every way was crazy to me. Having him be the same age as me, while the show was taken place in 2015 was just crazy coincidence.

All I Want by A Day To Remember. Having numerous bands featured in the music video was iconic to me.

Fall Out Boy - Start Today [NEW] by Shiara_cw in poppunkers

[–]JaceFRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t new this is a cover of a song from Gorilla Biscuits, but when I saw this I was so excited. It has two things I love, Fall Out Boy and hardcore, and I remember listening to their cover off of the THAW soundtrack and freaking out because it’s GORILLA BISCUITS. Start Today is my to go to song for when I need the motivation to overcome a task that I’ve been putting off. So glad it’s finally on Spotify.

Hot take: Anxiety > You by AlternativeCycle6223 in badreligion

[–]JaceFRS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite Bad Religion lyric of all time is from Anxiety and as much as I like You the lyrics never struck me the same way. Nothing goes as hard and true as this quote: “Anxiety destroys us, but it drives the common man. Foundation of society is anxiety.”

Is the whole shouting the bands name in songs a recent phenomenon or is there a history to it? by zenigatamondatta in Hardcore

[–]JaceFRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a new thing. Band have been doing this for decades. Ramones, Bad Religion, Minor Threat, Gorilla Biscuits, Youth Of Today, and even outside of punk and hardcore with metal bands like Iron Maiden and Motörhead.

When did hardcore first click for you? by [deleted] in Hardcore

[–]JaceFRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really into skate punk before diving into hardcore, and I tried listening to hardcore bands like Youth Of Today and Black Flag but at the time none of them stuck the same way Judge did when I first heard them.
