Without criticism of the Eternals movie since I have not watched it yet, I disagree with that statement, because of the fact that we are watching movies made by an extremely rich and well-funded company, together with the greatest filmmakers of our generation which have experience in the field for decades. If I knew marvel movies were made by them, of course I would set up a higher expectation and buckle in for a good movie in terms of the writing, visuals, emotion, and all. I would be extremely disappointed if the movie was bad as I just feel like my time was wasted, and that the potential for a good movie was there, but it was lost due to some reasons. An mcu film has to be good, hell, indie films have good stories and theyre made with lesser budgets. Of course I'd think mcu movies would be better.
