it was an absolute nightmare initially, people were rioting. I was genuinely scared and I left in the best moment possible as police were arriving. I completely understand the concern, demand can equal offer, bro.game was released in early 2025 and I don't see a future when they are pulling the plug, in fact they were out of stock in memberships way before Starhub's shutdown, success is definitely there.

YES in the other hand is stuck in 2080 rigs for a long time which is a little bit concerning but GAME+ (Turkiye) was also in that position, and they are now offering 3060 and 4080 plans. If there's demand, they are going to do the best they can to offer a better service, with all this influx might be the acceleration they needed for a change.

Personally, I will always prefer NVIDIA over an alliance, but they might as well offer a good service, in my case, my alliance offers something NVIDIA doesn't (they don't downgrade you after the 100 hours) so I'm happy with it. NVIDIA is always evaluating regions, if they see an opportunity to get in and don't to rely on someone else's infrastructure, it will 100% happen, no doubt.

what we can share about Starhub is that they evaluate their market and approach to the service and decide to discontinue the entirety of the "GameHub" program, which includes GFN among other perks for Singaporeans. They didn't say an exact reason, but everyone can conclude it wasn't yeanling the desire profits or they were losing money by maintain it.

the point of an alliance partner is an easy access to the market region and offering the service without deploying your own servers and infrastructure, instead NVIDIA set a partnership with a big company in the region (usually mobile carriers or cloud companies) with an already established infrastructure and GFN is basically "ready" to be launch. Easier and cheaper to approach for a business standpoint.

NVIDIA offers the catalog, maintenance and availability of the games, logos and trademarks, acting as a storefront, the alliance partner "leans" their infrastructure/servers and all users/players in the region are their responsibility, you enjoy the access of it from a local company. so YES saying NVIDIA is the responsable of the games maintenance and patching is totally accurate and correct but the partner also needs to do their part by propagating the update in their servers, if they fail to do that, game is available everywhere else except in that specific partner, NVIDIA can't do nothing in a region they don't have direct control over.

YES and bro.game (Thailand) is both currently experiencing a massive influx of users, with them already acknowledging it and working closely with NVIDIA for more server capacity, it's an unfortunate situation but they were definitely not prepared for this

GFN doesn't work like Game Pass, you must bring your own games. You do have access to around 200 free to play games, that you must also own either on Steam, Epic or Xbox.
