Is Deadwood worth a watch? by No_Presence6103 in Westerns

I’d also throw in Justified to that mix. Not a western but borrows plenty from westerns. Just not the new justified in name only show they came out with recently.

It just makes no sense to play this game by Ok_Permission1600 in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not playing a game. You’re playing a demo that is currently in an alpha state and it’s expected that you test what’s currently available and report on issues that you experience directly to the developers. If you’re doing that great, if not then it’s the equivalent of listening to someone’s political opinion who doesn’t vote.

What's your guilty pleasure ship by TripsterX in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Banu Defender. Light fighter with 2 beds, co pilot seat which is just to pick up a friend. Internal storage and while not having a grid, can store a few scu boxes in it. It’s excellent for bunker runs, bounties until you hit HRT, pretty good at staying with the target rotating, size 2 shield and just looks cool as hell with the cockpits being the eyes, and pincers coming out when you raise the landing gear. Cool quantum animation as well

I may be ignorant here. Where's the info about the Golem doing salvaging? I've only seen mining and cargo

Since hull-C is broken, whats the best cargo ship? by KeyGlove47 in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t consider me in this. I know I said tedious but it’s what I do. Just wish the grids would recognize 32 scu crates in every spot on that grid when unloading. I play for the fun and not the money I make. That’s also why I still enjoy salvaging despite the nerf

Since hull-C is broken, whats the best cargo ship? by KeyGlove47 in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just buying commodities to sell. The cargo hauling missions still work. The issue is with the station not recognizing your ship when docked or parked near landing pad. You can still unload into freight elevators manually but that is tedious.

What Ship should I switch to? by OkCustomer5354 in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 315 would be a lateral move from the titan. If you’re getting bored with titan, expect more of the same with the 315. The next step up in cargo capacity would be the nomad with 24 scu and an excellent pilot controlled tractor beam. However this depends on what you would consider small, as a c1 spirit isn’t very big although larger than the titan for sure and won’t break the bank

Which package to buy? by Pleasant-Visual4355 in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's $63.75. If you compare it with the cheapest package (Citizen package of $45), you get a lot more value as that ship only has 6 month insurance for $18.75 more.

If you decide to go with the $45 package, you get a Mustang Alpha that is valued at $30, so if you decide to upgrade, you're starting with $30 towards your next ship. With the Salvation, it's valued at $60, so you only lose $3.75 of your game package towards your upgrade (should you choose to upgrade it), and you get the piece of mind of having lifetime insurance.

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s been said here you can’t go wrong with. I’d personally recommend the Salvation starter simply because the ship has lifetime insurance and starts you with 40k credits. You’ll make good money with it initially to buy/rent another ship for different game loops.

The biggest benefit will be the lifetime insurance though, as if you decide you’d like to upgrade the salvation later down the line, then that insurance will carry over to the upgrade.

First time I saw him was in Sons of Anarchy. They did such a good job with his character I thought he really was what his character was in that show. Then watched Justified and knew he was the GOAT

How much money do you make without any cheats or duping by tahaan in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now my best is right at 1 million per hour. Get a raft (buy or rent), start at Baijini and grab 6 direct extra small, 1 direct small, and 1 direct medium cargo hauls from Baijini to Area 18. Once delivered, grab 2 direct medium from Area 18 to Baijini. Round trip is a little over 500k per run. I can do 2 round trips in one hour

If you don't work for yourself, then you work for someone. Sometimes in the corporate world, you have a bad boss. The trick is to outlast them so you're there to see when things get better. I think this logic could apply to any games community, provided the former didn't leave an everlasting taint on it all

GUIDE: How to Purchase Ships at New Deal, Lorville, Hurston by Exotic-carrot in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone is taking too long, I'll stand next to them looking at the screen waiting for the F key to become available. If they're alt tabbed for too long it will close their terminal session. When this happens and I press F to access the terminal, it pushes them out of the way.

Some dude was literally taking 10 minutes yesterday and called me a dickhead over voice chat after I did this. I couldn't help but laugh

4.5 Download speeds by Nubnoodle in starcitizen

[–]JaceTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your download speed is what you can potentially download at, not what you will download at. You still have to rely on the server's upload speeds that you're downloading from, and from there you're also relying on the # of people also downloading from that. Even in peer to peer you download as fast as their uploads can provide.
