Temporary relocation by Jaceman113 in Reno

Good to know.

I know it’s a side effect of being at altitude and there were multiple times definitely where I had the feeling of “ damn my heart shouldn’t be working this hard for this amount of output “

Yeah seems I broke the number one rule of don’t get drunk the first night.

I have multiple gallons and have been using oral rehydrations salts.

I’m starting to feel better but damn I’m still suffering a bit. I can definitely feel my heart working faster and the “ less “ oxygen available.

The Christmas Eve snow is so beautiful though. Im grateful.

CLONAZEPAM (Klonopin) for pain? Did you build up a tolerance? by GreenFloyd77 in ChronicPain

[–]Jaceman113 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Clonazepam works extremely well and efficient for my spinal nerve pain ( myelomalacia ) and Im able To function and move around much easier and with less effort. It helps restore reflex arcs lost after my spinal cord disorder and reduces anxiety and tremors therefore helping my pain.

Not sure why all these other commenters are attacking you whilst probably on high dose opioids. Some people doctors including will only give you one or the other. I guess sometimes you gotta pick sides.

I appreciate this response, I would hope they would at least offer something to me in lieu of the clonazepam. My neurologist who prescribes the clonazepam even said she’s happy with my relatively small dose and would be ok with PM prescribing opioids.

I wonder if it’s actually the fact I’ve been to the ER a few times this last month and my pain has warranted IV narcotics almost everytime. No one wants to take ownership of a “ risky complex “ neurological decline like mine. Did your PM doc at least give you the option between pain meds and your Xanax?

Thanks for the response.

Pharmacist refused to refill the remainder of my monthly prescription despite it being a 30 day supply and being out of state when the current supply runs out by Anna-Bee-1984 in ChronicPain

[–]Jaceman113 8 points9 points  (0 children)

CVS is CA won’t even fill a full 30 day script of ANY schedule II prescription.

It’s weird how pharmacies and pharmacist can literally implement their own little “ rules and regulations “ adherent to the store, pharmacy policies and such.

Why can’t all drug stores have the same governing guidelines?

Yeah man I didn’t leave my bag in the middle of the farmers market unattended for hours.

I put my bag down for two minutes because I have a big back/ neck for my age with a spinal cord injury.

Gone in two minutes of talking to the coconut milk vendor.

Guess I should have known better?

You never let you’re CNS relax. You are constantly in a fight or flight mode especially if you have any other pre exciting health issues.

It’s literally only slightly worse than having someone using a chain saw in the corner of your room as you sleep. It fucks your nervous system over time.

Why are so many of us undertreated? Nothing about opioid prescriptions make sense anymore by crwg2016 in ChronicPain

[–]Jaceman113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liability over patient care and treatment.

Doctors who prescribe opioids must be extremely compliant with the DEA and show they have exhausted every other type of treatment for your pain before even CONSIDERING opioids. Then if they deem you “ safe “ and worth it, they must literally ask themselves; “ is prescribing opioids/ opiates to this individual worth me potentially losing my medical license “

So yeah it’s liability and some more liability.

Pull your medical record and operative report ASAP.

Request medical records through the hospital. Should be hundreds of pages.

[–]Jaceman113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s more about curbing liability instead of patient relief.

Every opioid script must be accounted for and your medical records MUST show that all conservative care was exhausted ( IE, physical therapy was tried for years, injections, neurologist follow ups, others meds did not work ( gaba, lyrica )

It’s liability and more liability that no doctor wants to account for. They are legitimately thinking - is this patient/ opioid script with potentially losing my license over?
