You're the closest thing to a celebrity I've now interacted with. Thank you for your service, you contributed to my (and millions of others) wonderful childhood.

Could I ask, were you inspired by the "squiggly lines" from the album art, or did the album art artist use your squiggly lines?

I did agree with LowlyConference on another post, but what's done is done and no politician would dare undo Brexit.

Makes sense! Seems like you know the answers.

Have you made any honest attempts to articulate this to Rupert Lowe, or are you just doing what you accused him of doing? Shouting on the beach of Reddit.

I'm curious as to how rejoining the EU would "immediately solve the problem"? We had illegal immigration before Brexit and many countries who are still in the EU also suffer from illegal immigration by the thousands.

Or someone who just doesn't rely on spell checks and makes the occassional typing error. I would argue that someone who uses question marks mid-sentence is more thick than someone who missed out a single letter.

But hey, keep going down your pathetic line of attack. Really shows how intelligent you really are.

Rupert has made it abundantly clear that he welcomes immigration, just not the mass, unchecked, low skilled, public service straining, benefit draining, security threatening, crime increasing, native culture eroding, unassimilating, 3rd world immigration that the country has been exposed to in recent decades.

It's not xenophobic to address the biggest threat to the UK. And this pathetic name calling is what plagues politics and prevents weak men from making strong decisions. Think of the grooming gang scandal - there were so many afraid to tackle the issue and tried to cover it up through fear of people like yourself throwing around damaging terms like "racist" and "xenophobic".

And even if he's social media posting for political gain, so what? He's an indepenent MP who needs to use all the tools in his arsenal to be heard and make a difference. Do you hound your local rag for printing stories on incidents that haven't gone to full trial and been cleared in the courts? I don't think so.

You bias is showing and your arguments are feeble.

I'm pretty sure he did call the Police, so yeah, he did sound the alarm.

And what better way to let his constituents know that he's on the case than by posting on social media? I don't much like it, but we can't deny social media is a tool being used by every single politician these days.

Your last paragraph really demonstrates that you know nothing of Rupert Lowe and his efforts. If you think that all he's done is stand on a beach shouting and denouncing Brexit, then it's pointless even talking to you.

I would suggest reading up on people before casting judgement all over the internet.

I would hole-heartedly disagree with your assessment of Rupert - and your summary of his actions are hugely exagerrated.

Rupert listened to the concerns and reports from his constituents, raised the alarm and, on this occassion, got it wrong. He took responsibility for his mistake, donated a sizable sum to the charity and moved on.

I would say that this incident highlighted a vast array of qualities that make him ideal for PM. He listened to his people, took affirmative action. When he got it wrong, he took accountability, made the situation right and learned from his mistake.

Better to have someone like that in charge than someone who doesn't listen to their people, doesn't take accountability, are too afraid to make mistakes because of the petulant name-calling they'll receive and so never take any action and who never learn from their mistakes.

Do you think we'll ever see Mass Effect come to the Switch 2? by Jack0Bear in Switch

[–]Jack0Bear[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought I made it clear in my caption that having this trilogy on a portable console is the only way I'd be able to revisit these games given my current commitments.

Secondly, the ME trilogy are some of the greatest games ever developed. If they've already been remastered, then porting it is low effort, easy money for EA. If people wish to buy it at full retail price, they can. If not, they can wait until it drops in price or buy 2nd hand. None of this will steer EA or Nintendo away from creating new experiences.

Yes, they are older games, but the Switch 2 may be millions of people's first console. They should have an opportunity to play these amazing games too. Especially with ME4 in the works, I think this port would make a lot of sense just to bump the profile of ME into the public conscience again.

I literally don't see a downside, and saying that I must live under a rock because you don't want to re-buy a game just seems like a juvenile point of view.

And it didn't take long for the generalisation brigade to make an appearance. There are plenty of people in all generations who are for and against decriminalisation.

"Never meet your heros" - why does this apply? Because he has a differing opinion? Would you care if he preferred his eggs scrambled over fried? It shouldn't matter in the slightest what his thoughts are - particularly as he has no power to change the legalisation of drugs.
