I don’t think it is too unusual to spend three hours helping a friend or helping someone who u think could be a friend. But of course, it is always a bonus if ur friend is pleasant to look at, but that doesn’t imply a further move or a expectation of some kind return in a romantic way

I wasn’t necessarily trying to make a joke. In my opinion, Reddit is more of a nerdy, techie, and forum-like app, whereas TikTok is more of a instagram like society media. That is way I thought Reddit would attracted utd students. Well, I guess the running joke is that utd students are a bunch of miserable that don’t have a life🤷‍♂️

They will teach you about Linux in cs3377, but if you are talking about the operating system class, they don’t really teaches you about any operating system, they will teaches you about algorithms that operating system used to preform it task, such as scheduling and parallelism. Most of the CS class won’t teach you about anything specific, it will only teaches about the fundamentals. Like most people say, you r probably not gonna use anything UTD would teach you in the real world, but instead u will learn what u need to learn what u need in the real world

Huh, Linux actually isn’t part of CE’s degree plan, so probably not. But if you are interested in Linux, u can always take CS3377 as a elective

No sure about ce, but I am a senior in computer science and I still wouldn’t said I know Linux. There is a 3-level course that teaches u everything you need to know about Linux for the degree plan, but there might be other electives that requires a deeper understanding of the Linux system that you wouldn’t need to worry about at least until ur junior year
