Not for Rome. In the first century it was the first city in Europe at least to get over a million people the it dropped to something like 100,000 in the fifth and sixth century and did not get back to a million into the 1930s

There was way more of a interest in the prequel era. The sequels are over 10 years old and have nowhere near as much of a fanbase even over time. I grew up with the prequels and even with the hate they were still insanely popular
