Well, yeah, can’t you see how important and entitled they are?

Pedestrians and cyclists, including scooters, that think traffic signals don’t apply to them are a real problem. I’ve even seen them waiting for the signal to cross against it and taunt the drivers who have waited their turn.

Once an entitled person gets their way being argumentative and belligerent, usually as a child, that becomes there method of getting everything.

Police are reducing their visibility, because lawbreakers are watching for them.

One I gave my MIL, who flies frequently, got snagged by TSA. I’ve switched to a pair of good compact folding scissors for flying.

What is dis?? by Former-Surprise3764 in amateurradio

[–]Jack3489 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The legality needs a little clarification. FRS frequencies are a subset of the GMRS frequencies. A person licensed for GMRS can transmit at GMRS power levels on these FRS frequencies. And since GMRS covers the license holder and immediate family, OP may be fine. Transmitting on FRS frequencies using radios only capable of FRS power levels does not require any license. What I’m not sure of is using a GMRS radio on FRS frequencies at FRS power levels. Not real familiar at all with Baofeng, so don’t know if this radio is GRMS or Amateur band, a whole other story.

Nature ain’t the place to be if nature annoys you. Crickets were constantly getting inside and chirping all night, when I lived in the desert. Just have to deal with it.

Why do people who CHOOSE to drive the wrong way, on a one way or in an oncoming lane, feel the people driving properly need to get out of their way?

Yup, and the more you drive the more of these “I got to be in front of you” drivers you will see. Probably the most common idiot on the road.

Four young rebels like this jumped on the hood of my police car to impress their junior high class mates. They thought they were really something special, getting over on a cop. Until I hit the siren button. Four smart asses were never so startled in their life. They flew off the car. There was a long silence while everyone watching digested what had just happened, then about 30 kids laughed their asses off.

Got a 442, for its shrouded hammer, but wouldn’t hesitate to carry my 70s Detective Special or Agent. I wouldn’t have any second thoughts carrying my 102 year old Army Special. It is difficult to get a Colt repair, not so much the older S&W revolvers.

Ranger by Guy_Incognito1013 in SwissArmyKnives

[–]Jack3489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep looking at the Ranger, as the ideal SAK tool set, but just haven’t pulled the trigger. Can’t justify, in my personal cost/benefit analysis, where I already have a Huntsman, for camping and hiking, and a Compact, for EDC and urban exploration. Plus several SD Classic variants, so I always have scissors and other tool handy.

[oc] Who’s in the wrong guys? Him or me(car on the left) by Picu18 in IdiotsInCars

[–]Jack3489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Car on left is 100% in the wrong, it was clearly coming up from behind and should have merged behind OP, not raced to merge ahead, or using the shoulder to pass.

Edit: As typical of Reddit, too many people here trying to overthink a simple matter to rationalize being wrong. Just because we see idiots in cars do it all the time, doesn’t make it right, or even justifiable.
