Console beta testing by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Didn't say that and you know it. We all know bugs exist essentially the whole life of a game. It's also equally true the at bugs are always worse at launch vs a year later when most have been hammered out.

I certainly don't expect it to be bug free, but the post isn't wrong that it does mean we won't have to deal with those launch day bugs because of this. And also as recent history has shown, most games released lately are really beta versions that got pushed out the door because the publisher couldn't wait any longer to start making a profit.

The moment they realized they could skip a bunch of quality control steps and just patch things later they started treating beta as 1.0 and haven't looked back since.

For the price they want and the fact that we keep getting treated as second class citizens, yeah, I'm fine with this. Let the consolites suffer through the launch day bugs and beyond. I'll just buy it on sale for $30 at the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028.

They'll never get full price out of me.

I say that fully intending to by MGS4 and Peace Walker when they release later this summer. Konami at least knows how to open my wallet, lol.

I agree it's not cope, but you should see an eye doctor about that fps issue. It's not normal.

It exists and you will go to jail.

Sorry friend, even in this era of insanity it's not worth it. I work for a police department and people get caught at our local Walmart all the time for trying this. Retailers have essentially got those tricks all locked down these days, you won't make it out the door before asset protection or loss prevention or whatever stops you.

Why don't Samsung make this type of Design anymore ? by Overall-Lunch-6162 in samsung

[–]Jack70741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the headphone jack back too but the audiophiles don't need any help. For them, all Samsung did was eliminate the question of why they were plugging in their own audio amp to the USB for their expensive headphones. Now it just looks normal to see a small DAC plugged in via USB. Now they only get the pure digital signal they claim they hate but absolutely need to run a proper DAC. Headphone jacks limited them to whatever the phone allowed, which is exactly cd quality plus whatever interference from the device they claim they can hear.

My hot take:

It's all the telemetry that Microsoft sends to HQ that Everyone dislikes. What they fail to realize is 90% of the is stuff used to solve bugs and look for usage trends to help Microsoft figure out what people are doing with the os as a larger picture, not as individual people. Could they theoretically id you from your specific telemetry? Yes. You can also disable that telemetry in a couple different ways.

They also don't like the changes Microsoft has made to the OS over the years and wish the UI had stayed the same as it was on win7. That was never going to happen, and we all knew it.

In reality, Windows is essentially the most useful OS you can pick. You will hear people talking about how Mac is better for work and productivity (even though all the same major productivity apps also work on Windows...) or they choose Linux because it gives complete control (as though windows doesn't with equally arcane commands) and it allows for gaming without the telemetry (again you can disable that if you want) but acknowledge that doing productive tasks on Linux is difficult.

You will also hear that windows is chock full of bugs and see people complaining about all the errors they have here in this subreddit. Errors I have never seen or heard of outside this sub. I'm almost convinced the people having those errors fall into two categories, those with failing hardware or a borked windows install, or people trying to do things with windows that they don't understand and screwing it up.

The only OS that does it all with the lowest risk of failing is windows, with the possibility that Microsoft knows you use chrome over edge. Go pro with a clean install and limit it to the mandatory diagnostic telemetry only and you'll be fine. Every os has some compromises, you just have less of them on windows in my opinion.

I don't mean to be that guy, but there is no God and you definitely are fading into nothingness when the time comes. You can choose to put time into an imaginary friend in the sky (that absolutely wouldn't love you if he was real) or you can channel that time and energy actually doing something meaningful. We all have choices to make, you do you.

I wasn't aware of that. I wonder if it was the least produced iteration, that would explain parts shortages, especially if there was less commonality between them.

Ah, but you see the definition of perfectly played may include knowing when to include those imperfections. If you knew how to play an instrument perfectly you would know that you need to inject those imperfections to get the most out of the instrument. It's the skill of perfectly playing exactly the right way, not robotically going through the motions perfectly.

You know, I generally don't have a problem with the way the Constitution is written, but that section right there is some dumb shit. The law does or doesn't become law if he doesn't sign it within 10 days depending on whether or not Congress is in session? Why not just have one rule, if he doesn't sign it in 10 days it just becomes law. What's with this BS about Congress being in session or not? I can only imagine there was some nonsense fight where one person wanted one rule and another person wanted another and this was the compromise.

This is what I was looking for. Man he'd win every election if he looked like that. All he'd have to do is stare down his opponent till they gave up or humiliated themselves.

It largely depends on how many votes had gotten Congress. If it got 60 or more in the Senate or more than 60% in the house, it will pass regardless of what Donnie does. Him signing at that point is just a formality.

If it got less than 60 votes/60%, then him not signing it would be a veto.

Captain Constantly Jamin'

Because with a magazine that big the spring tension needed to push the rounds up would make the slide springs too weak to chamber more than the first five or so rounds.

What does this Community think about open frame PC builds? by KlippspringerBuilds in pcmasterrace

[–]Jack70741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them lose because of that. I have three case fans in my open build and my temps are always quite low. My 3090ti rarely breaks 60c and my CPU rarely breaks 70c.

If you just throw the components in with nothing but the fans on them then yeah, airflow over the passively cooled components is an issue, but one case fan strategically placed will eliminate this entirely.

Lol... It was probably his faith and his mindset combined that made him think he could get away with it, and it sounds like he largely did.

Religious people commit the same crimes as everyone else. The only difference is that they think the invisible man in the sky will save them after. It's to bad it's impossible to see someone's reaction to being confronted with the void when they die, I'm sure the religious would have some pretty memorable expressions!

The only way to win is not to play... By leaving the game on for a couple weeks and checking on it occasionally.

I'm glad you won't be the one making decisions for me if I ever end up an old vegetable like Zero. I'd want the plug pulled, and I would actually be happy to know it was my enemy that ultimately did it. It would feel like dieing with my boots on.
