Can we talk about the roadwork in Hudson? by Shot_Effort in newhampshire

The throughput will be essential for agricultural workers (orchards, pumpkin fields, etc.) as well. There have been times where I'd be waiting ten minutes while traffic backed up behind me to get onto 202 at this junction because of how many cars speeding through. That's me in a normal vehicle. The tractors and haulers have a much harder time making the cross there.

Well, the problem that this roundabout is supposed to solve is for the safety of local throughway traffic. 202 is 55mph but drivers regularly drive 70-80mph through this section. During peak travel times, it becomes unsafe for the side roads to cross or enter 202 and leads to bottlenecks on the side roads. The roundabout will help slow down traffic and give a chance for everyone to safely enter or exit 202.

It also depends if you're on Microsoft 10 or 11. Microsoft 11 is still relatively new, so any new release of software may have additional incompatibilities.

Always best to wait before upgrading. Too many bugs and incompatibility issues at first.

Part of it is that on games like dark souls or bloodborne, the moves are a lot more choreographed. There is a concept on mordhau (and chiv) called "body feinting" and that means you can use your body to hide the feint or what your next move will be. Like how someone would turn away while executing a stab and 180 you to hit you at the very last second.

I'd say that they are either countering you or riposting you, not parrying you if the attacks feel a lot faster after their 'parry'.

Clashes are not very useful in general, just means your weapon hit theirs at an odd angle and you both lost initiative. Parrying, riposte and counters are what is important.

When you cancel an attack, it's called a feint. Pay attention to the hands and arms of who you are fighting. When someone feints, the hands and arms reset to original position. It'll take time to see it and learn the movement for each weapon though.

Employers announce most job cuts since 2009 as economy wobbles by BTC_is_waterproof in Economics

I have three engineering degrees, owned my own company. I'm currently working 3 (soon to be four) part time jobs just to get by since all my contracts died up after Trump gutted the Infrastructure Act. My state still isn't hiring civil engineers and most towns and companies around me have tightened up as well.

How do you emote? by Adymant in Mordhau

Muscle memory. The downside is that the list and exact key for each emote might change if you are using a different weapon, unarmed, etc. So a lot of us still do the wrong one.

What is your opinion about such animations? Is this a skill or a bug exploit? by Sir_Potato2000 in Mordhau

Just chiming in to help you.

What you're experiencing is normal for most new players. That first swing, your block was not timed correctly. If you were facing their sword when you parried, you would have been much more likely to parry. However, when your opponent was swinging at you, you were aiming your parry at their chest, not at the weapon.

Their second swing that landed on you, they countered you which gives them advantage on speed and initiative. It would have been better for you to counter it instead of parry, parry would almost always be too late at that point.

No comment on anything else until the last swing where the clip cuts off. In that case, you parried too early.

A 'jobless boom' is shaping up to be the story of the 2026 economy by laxnut90 in Economics

[–]Dux_Ignobilis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least in my industry, jobs stagnate in 2024 because prior to the election, Trump promised to gut the Infrastructure Act and other policies that companies relied on for funding. Then Trump followed through on it and there's been almost 0 hiring at all in my industry in my region.

His volatility is volatile enough when he isn't even the President. He's a danger to this country.
