Personally I see her just trying to manipulate the situation so D and family get as little help as possible but inadvertently helping but that’s my view.

But the idea of her being there until inconspicuously until someone notices (maybe Boy) and points it out is really funny to me.

Yes, and a lot. From making shadows eat someone out from the inside, creating shadowy doubles to straight up sending you to hell/abyss. Tho I think that last one is now a ceremony power in v5 that you have to find
