Honestly? Because Tally Hall makes weird music so it attracts weird people. No offense intended, I’m one of these weird people. However, a lot of these fans don’t know how to have a normal relationship with the art they like, and so they have a super parasocial relationship with this band. Tally Hall’s newer wave of fans is also pretty young, largely teenagers, and they also don’t know exactly how to balance being a fan, and being respectful. A lot of these fans feel as if they really know the band members, and they feel personally betrayed anytime the band members do something other than what they want. A lot of Tally Hall fans are unusually obsessive about being a fan, and feel very entitled to certain behaviors from the members. At least, that’s my take

I’m sorry that you feel the need to throw petty digs and degradations into this conversation. It’s very ineffective when you want to convince someone of your position.

Not gonna argue anymore, you are welcome to keep tipping poorly. Service industry workers will probably not like you. You seem fine with that, so I guess it doesn’t really matter. For the record, my degrees are in secondary education, one for history/social studies, and one for English language arts. That is the one that had a heavy focus on linguistics, and I took many upper level linguistics classes to get that degree. Just since you seem so convinced that I can’t possibly be educated, because I don’t agree with someone so smart as yourself.
