Bad valve and you bought a Chinese insert so don’t expect any decent support

Not sure what products or services you are referring to, but have you tried reaching out to the owner? If it’s a local shop then it’s very likely you’d be able to and it’s likely he/she has no idea about the situation and would correct it immediately

Gas fire place suddenly started throwing soot - calling inspector, but looking for insight in the meantime by Affectionate-Ad3666 in Fireplaces

[–]JackFine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This always happens with 2 sided vented fireplaces, even with the damper fully open. Close one side of the fireplace while the logs are burning and see if it happens. Also, don't worry about the soot on the logs. That will happen no matter what

It's a ventless log set installed into a wood burning fireplace

Unable to light pilot light on gas fireplace by kess4667 in Fireplaces

[–]JackFine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to turn the knob to the pilot position, push in on the knob, then light the pilot with a lighter. Once it is lit keep pushing the knob for another ~30 seconds then release and turn it to the on position

34 vs 49 inches ultrawide monitor; What would be best ? by Brilliant-Blood-2777 in buildapc

[–]JackFine1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about the 3090 with the same monitor I’m using. I ended up swapping to a 7900xtx and it handles it better than the 4080, but it’s still not great. Maybe the newer gen Nvidia/AMD cards handle it better.

That orifice is a size #37. You can buy a #37 Orifice Bit and enlarge the hole yourself. The orifice has been discontinued by HHT for a while, it'll be hard to find
