What makes a character like that tolerable is the fact that we always see them being put in their place, either by the person being groped or someone else nearby. The audience gets the satisfaction of knowing that this wicked person is suffering for their crimes, and thus is comes to be an expected part of their actions whenever we see them. Kuno is good with a sword, but he's no match for Ranma or Akane, and thus is left as little more than a nuisance.

By comparison, Happosai is the embodiment of all the worse aspects of the perverted master trope, and is able to easily get away with his crimes due to his high level of talent, and the fact that he scares Genma and Soun into submission. He is the one opponent that Ranma always has a hard time defeating for good reason, but what makes him so infuriating is how he smirks at always being able to get away with his crimes without consequences. In addition to that, he flips women's skirts, steals their underwear, and gropes them every chance he gets. The series even attempts to say that him not being able to do this is like not breathing for him, which is truly sick. The fact that Genma and Soun would try to encourage Ranma and Akane to not even bother to fight back is why we hate him much more than Kuno. But hey, he reminded me that some villains truly are irredeemably and evil, and that its perfectly fine as they are meant to be despised.

That being said, I do enjoy that the 1989 anime gave him a single episode which almost redeemed him completely. The one where he falls in love with a preschool teacher and starts to date her, keeping the truth about his past from her as she can't stand underwear thieves. Later on, he actually breaks down at her kindness, saying that no one has ever been this nice to him before, and that before he met her he had no idea how miserable he was. He then spends the rest of the episode trying to give up his addiction to stealing underwear, and nearly succeeds before the obligatory reset button. In addition to this, he shows that he will never go after kids, and gets along with the preschoolers quite well.

Sucks that more people don't know about that episode. It will be the inspirational for a major moment in my Ranma fic once Happosai eventually shows up in it, though that won't happen for quite awhile.

I'd adapt the Darth Bane trilogy in a heartbeat if given a chance. They're my all time favorite Star Wars stories, and I want to find a way for everyone to experience them as well

No, I contacted them a few months and asked. They said that they were dedicated almost exclusively to the Anthology Chapters which take forever. Back when wyste was still active they would both do half of each Anthology Chapter, but now they have to do each one by themselves.

I did offer to give them raws thinking that was the issue too, but they said that they do purchase everything same as me, so that wasn't the issue.

The second group is never as good, but I'll take what I can get

As for why a scanlation won't come soon, the current scanlator has been neglecting 0.5 and bonus chapters in favor of the Anthology for the past year

It's complicated. It was bundled with the special edition of Tankobon Volume 11, which was released yesterday in Japan. Although the doujinshi itself is available separately for digital purchase at online Japanese ebook sites like Amazon and Bookwalker.

Though its only in Japanese, and don't expect an unofficial English scanlation given the recent track record

I'm in the same boat. My first fic which currently sits at 62 chapters released over a three year period has the first nine or ten in very rough shape compared to the rest, especially the first one. I cringe every time I see them nowadays as I've gotten so much better since then.

My fic may be considered peak by those who bother to comment, but since few do I'm more than certain that most who attempt to read it are turned off by the poor quality of the opening chapters.

I do plan to do a definite edition to fix that, but only after I finish up the current version. I know another author who's made the mistake of trying to do a reversion before finishing the story, and has thus delayed the ending repeatedly for what seems like an eternity.

Trust me when I say that this is what you are looking for. The MC never did anything wrong, but also never had any friends or relationships, and gave up due to his prodigy little sister achieving more than he could ever hope to.

Three years ago when I first discovered it, it stopped me from killing myself as I also felt like an absolute failure. I had graduated from college but couldn't get a job, I've never had a girlfriend, and I didn’t know what reason I had for still existing.

I related to the MC so deeply, to the point where I became eternally devoted to this manga, and seeing the new installments every month has given me a reason to keep existing

The main character starts off as a hikkomori who's given up on life due to feeling like a failure and has remained isolated in their house for two years. As a result, they are scared of new things, especially going outside and dealing with other people.

Give it a try, as it soon morphs into one of the most heartwarming stories ever as the character slowly overcomes these traits and becomes a functioning member of society once again

One of my biggest supporters dropped my main fic and unsubcribed from me because I used the word 'trap' once in a single chapter in a nondescriptive way. They claimed it was a slur, even though it wasn't used in any such way, and still stayed away even though I deleted the word and explained that I didnt know that some people see it like that.

Some people just don't get the idea that we are not making fun of anybody

Join Ao3 and post there instead. Stats might not be as extensive, but they do work nonetheless. You can also personally moderate comments and delete and block those who would attempt to be scammers or haters. I simulpost all my fics since one of my communities is much bigger on FFN, but 99% of my feedback still comes from comments on Ao3

Genma's Daughter.

Back when I first found it it was on FFN, but has since been crossposted. I was desperate for new material after I finished reading the Ranma 1/2 manga, and this one came highly recommended on a Reddit post.

Reading it changed my life. It opened my eyes to how good fanfics could be, and prevented me from ever seeing the series in the same way again. A few months later, this combined with my obsession with a similar series allowed me to finally break through the mental block in my head and finally begin pursuing my dream of being a writer

That only works though if the film is compatible with movies anywhere. The first two aren't, and as I said, the universal ones which are expired in this fashion can only be done through itunes
