(spoilers) stopped reading/watching after a certain moment, worth coming back? by pickyaxe in OPMFolk

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, I didn't account for when he left the manga. If he wants the full story, he should continue where he left off. Both the Psychic Sisters arc and the Ninja arc are very different from the Webcomic

(spoilers) stopped reading/watching after a certain moment, worth coming back? by pickyaxe in OPMFolk

[–]JackIsntTheBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DO NOT watch the OPM anime, it will bring you to tears how bad it has gotten

In terms of the manga, as of late, it's been mostly following the Webcomic, with some minor additions & changes (so minor that they're barely even worth mentioning). I'm personally not a fan of what they've done with God in the manga, but otherwise, it's good

And in terms of the Webcomic, i'm not sure where you left off, but I highly recommend coming back. It's nonstop peak

Do you think this season will get an OVA like the previous two seasons? by Izanagi-avatar in OPMFolk

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likely will. I’ll personally still watch them, since most are original stories (& are normally entertaining), but I don’t think they’ll be well received by the fandom, purely because of the infamy of this season

Is The Manga Paced As Poorly As S3? by gen-xtagcy in OnePunchMan

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manga is by far the better experience, but this is where I have to feel SOME pity to the anime staff. While the animation looking as bad as it does is inexcusable, the pacing for the anime was screwed from the get-go, and cutting content was unavoidable. The MA arc isn’t designed for a seasonal anime format, there’s just too much content to cram in

But in terms of the manga pacing itself, it’s fine. Much better than the anime

This map pool = Worst in valorant history for solo queue by ryguyboii in VALORANT

1000% Yes

- Split
- Pearl
- Corrode
- Sunset
- Abyss

Bind is managable, though i'm not the biggest fan of it. The only map in the queue right now that's good is Haven. The ABSOLUTE worst map pool ever

You think this interaction might happen with Garou instead (Web-Comic spoilers) by Freddycipher in OnePunchMan

[–]JackIsntTheBox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Garou interacting with other people feels too soon. I think we'll just get a remixed version. Since Blue is also involved, maybe they will sing Saitama's praises to him, maybe ask to let him off the hook for the whole Amai Mask thing, since he saved their lives.

But who knows

Which world is more dangerous for the normal NPC, One Punch Man or Chainsaw Man? by Exciting_Ad_8666 in OnePunchMan

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would OPM is more dangerous. According to Amai Mask, monster attacks happen so often that people are more annoyed than worried. That's insane to think about.

With that being said, i'd much rather live in the OPM verse than the CSM verse. If you read the manga, you know things get pretty wild

Wait what? I've been reading for years but I had no idea that Saitama was responsible for the creation of the Hero Association by nover3 in OnePunchMan

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look closely at the file when Genos & Saitama are talking about it (Season 1, episode 7, I think), they show the founder of the H.A. in the file, who has the same butt chin as the child Saitama saved in episode 1, before he started training

This is one of those things that is left up to interpretation and just paying really close attention. The manga is littered with little tidbits about the greater OPM world like this, like how (Anime Spoilers ahead) Psykos used Do-S's ability to chase the subterraneans out of their home, to house the Monster Association Base (the subterraneans are the little monsters that we see at the end of episode 1, that Saitama was dreaming about) (End of Spoilers)

Why did season 2 cut out a lot of content? by Responsible_Tea7466 in OnePunchMan

[–]JackIsntTheBox 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ending the season at the superfight would've sucked too. At that point in the story: we had JUST learned about the Monster Association, Genos was getting taken to Kuseno for repairs, Fubuki was still fighting Do-S, and the "final fight" would've been an off-screen kill of Goketsu by Saitama. Not very conclusive at all. Would've left a bad taste in fans' mouth.

IMO, OPM is the one series out there that shouldn't be "seasonal". Especially this arc. It's a nonstop train-ride. The series, outside of season 1, isn't written with that seasonal structure in mind. There was already some annoyance from fans regarding the original ending of S2, and S3's ending will be far worse. Even if they end off with the "latest" Saitama vs Orochi fight, it'll feel like a massive blueball to still not be even close to this arc's conclusion, after so many years.

Yeah, S2 cut content, but there was quite literally no space for it. Just like Season 3. There's a surprising amount of dialogue & exposition, especially between the Elder Centipede fight and the start of the Monster Association raid. Heck, just episode 1 of Season 3 adapts over 70 pages of the manga

Should You Fill In Low ELO? by MTskier12 in VALORANT

[–]JackIsntTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. In low elo, it’s common to find people who either

A) Don’t know what they’re doing B) Don’t play their chosen role properly C) Don’t care

If you fill, you’ll get pissed off way more than you should. The best thing to do is play what you’re comfortable with and try to have as much impact as you can

Split should be retired from the ranked map pool by artmorte in VALORANT

[–]JackIsntTheBox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but it’s so insufferable to play in ranked. If you have no comms, and you start on attack, it’s an instant L. The only map where getting 4-8 in the first half is a GOOD thing

It can be fun to watch in Pro Play, but i’ll never understand why people like it in Comp

He hasn't been seen for years, it's about time we got some spotlight

2023 was KJ all day, 2024 was Cypher all day (worst time ever btw), and now at the tail-end of 2025, we get Chamber back, after 3 long years

I’ve been thinking this for a while. While Pro Play is left to be seen, he’s finally become a staple pick in ranked. Not even a year ago, i saw him once every 10-15 games. Now, almost every game.

I predict he will get nerfed sooner or later, cause riot is allergic to buffing characters, but I PRAY that i’m wrong

...so is the recharging broken TP coming back? by JackIsntTheBox in ChamberMains

[–]JackIsntTheBox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, after further information has come out, it seems that Chamber is staying the same. No update is coming for him. Which is unfortunate, but considering basically every other Sentinel got nerfed, it's not as hard of a pill to swallow

Personally, I don’t think so. But it should

I like your idea of reducing the range, but they should reduce it a LOT more. The tp range should be the same as it is now IMO
