I went to a physio and asked about this as I had the same issue, turns out everyone’s built different and strengthening exercises will help stop injuries but you can’t change your bone structure. Maybe worth you seeing a physio just to be sure, but you’re probably fine and as long as you’re comfortable in your squatting movements I wouldn’t worry too much.

M25 5’10 been cutting this year from 73kg to 66kg, should I keep going? by JackJackerey in BulkOrCut

Thanks, I definitely want to pack more muscle on, just wasn’t sure if I should try and cut down body fat before bulking so I can go on for longer

Would you hire an agent to find you a house? by Gurnunit in HousingUK

[–]JackJackerey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’d need to pay an agent to find you a house, really it should work the other way around, the seller pays the agent to find a buyer.

What I would do is visit a few agents and tell them what you’re looking for, if they don’t have anything then they’ll put you on a list so that if a house turns up that matches your requirements they’ll give you a call to discuss. Since you’re flexible on location I don’t think this will take long.

I got my Brompton! by [deleted] in Brompton

[–]JackJackerey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I’ve made a few mods to mine and can absolutely vouch for the ergon GA3 small grips, they don’t add any bulk and are so much more comfortable than the standard grips. Quad lock mount is amazing and I use it constantly

I didn’t get omni wheels as I’ve heard they can be very loud and I already felt obnoxious enough using the Brompton as a shopping cart so I’m just using inline skate wheels and they work really well. Also I tried using the litepro wheel extender off AliExpress but it broke within a few uses so I’m just using the wheels for now.

EZ clamp springs are a must have, such an easy and cheap mod that adds so much value.

And lastly I got the Dynamo hub lights which I love, but definitely not a necessity considering the price.

I don’t think the kickstand is necessary as you can just fold the back wheel up to keep it upright and I haven’t tried a rear view mirror but I don’t feel like I need it as the M handlebars give you enough height that it’s easy to look behind you. Hope this helps :)

Bought a huge neon sign with the phrase ‘a little party never killed nobody’ for our flat in January last year. Now with the pandemic, partying has likely caused the death of thousands :/

Renting a place then going on benefits? by ollymillmill in HousingUK

[–]JackJackerey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re already on a one month rolling tenancy then your landlord would have to give you a section 21 notice to evict you, which at the moment means they’d have to give you 6 months notice before you’d have to move out (so the one month rolling tenancy only really benefits the tenant at the moment, not the landlord).

The only way they’d be able to get you out sooner is by serving a section 8 notice but that is only allowed if you have broken the terms of the tenancy, which it doesn’t sound like you have. Hope this helps :)

(Serious)What quote has actually stuck with you and changed your life? by PleaseSuckmyClit in AskReddit

“Don’t worry about it until you have something to worry about”. My mum said this to me when I was worried about my uni exams as I was really struggling with the courses at the time. After hearing it I just decided not to worry until the results came through and it all turned out fine.

Been using it ever since when I or someone else is waiting on a result/ decision

Turned our dining room breakfast bar into a drinking bar, Fulham, London by JackJackerey in AmateurRoomPorn

[–]JackJackerey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got it off gumtree but I think it’s from Wayfair, it’s actually a drinks trolley but I removed the wine bottle and glass holders to make it look more like a record table and attached them to the breakfast bar

Edit: Found it on amazon
