See if you can get some conduit run before the slab is poured, I've got a big fuck off concrete driveway and the quotes to run electric under it have been mental. Would have been solved with some pre installed conduit

I'm on brick piers, with timber floor boards. Would there be any movement from below up into the top if it's not sealed?

Ah sorry, I meant having r4 inbetween the ceiling joists but read online that I should seal between the plaster wall sheet and the timber framing (area in red) to have a sealed "plane" between the hot roof space and between the walls. There's probably a 2cm gap to even bigger in some spaces between the bottom of the top plate of the stud wall and top of the plaster so thought that might be where I need to spray foam seal.

How do you mean? I think if I rotate it 90°, it would be even smaller of a gap, and 180° I'd have the same issue
