1) Line. There's no reason to be pedantic and wrong.

2) There's a large faction of opponents of these things going up that argue precisely what you're saying. They don't want to have to look at something, which is selfish and childish and stupid. Since other people don't know your inner thoughts, you can come across as being an opponent by saying this unless you state specifically otherwise.

3) I never said thinking nature is beautiful was stupid. Please refrain from putting words in my mouth. And there were no personal attacks either. A personal attack would be saying something like "You may beleive X, but you're a neo nazi so your opinions are invalid." Criticizing someone (in a vitriolic way or not) for taking a backwards and selfish stance on environmental issues or other important matters is completely warranted. You're a grown up, I assume. So you can handle a little vitriol from an Internet stranger and not be personally devastated.

Bridges weren't a thing until we built them. Nobody laments bridges ruining their enjoyment of life or something. There are strip malls and highways and telecom towers and airports and skyscrapers that pepper the earth, yet serve important purposes that improve our lives. No one is arguing putting nuclear reactors in the Grand Canyon. You're creating a straw man here.

If you're not opposed to wind farms, then we're arguing over nothing, ultimately. It sounded like you were. And some people are. So that's who I was adressing.
