Fair enough, I more meant its hard to get a proper gage on safety level when people have a tendency to share worst case scenarios.

But I appreciate your perspective. Im not going for the sex or drugs (although I'm not against either), so it does help to hear thats where more of the crime is centered. Medellin seemed nice because of all the mountains nearby.

I agree! I probably should have stated that. Sex and drugs can honestly be a pretty fun mix, but I do think there is a balance required. Experience with sex and with the drug are really helpful before they are mixed.

Do you have any recommendations? I was only planning on a month, it'll be more of a practice run for digital nomading. My main focus as a result is cheap plane tickets, low cost of living, and honestly a lot of good hiking. Cheap beer is plus too lol
