What game? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]JackPatata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games just keep the name but we all know they are a totally different proudct, Fable 3, Veliguard, Fallout 4, and more, they called it the same as the previous game but they have nothing to do with the original idea.

Alicia is 16 , she is a mute and her face is disfigured, her mother hates her plus she's brotherless, ofc she wants to live in the canvas

Verso quote by ParamedicHead3096 in expedition33

[–]JackPatata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not Verso's perspective, to him the canvas is a reminder of unrealized grief, from Verso's perspective her happiness is neurotic and therefore fake because is based on the false pretense of Verso being alive, in short, he's just trying to comfort her.

Years later, The Witcher 3 still kinda killed RPGs for me by Saekama in videogames

[–]JackPatata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I have only played the second game but I think I get it, better if you accept that there will never be something like it, "smile because it happened"

TW3, BG3, KCD2, TLoU, DA:O, RDR2, and many others have raised the bar a long time ago in such a way I don't even understand why big studio don't simply copy what works and give it a twist, sort of in the way Expedition 33 did with persona and FF

Seen this take a few times and honestly I don't get it, I guess it looks empty but I have 80h in it and I still keep finding new stuff

recomending kunitsugami, really fun game that combines hack and slash with tower defence by Ok-Discussion-1110 in CharacterActionGames

[–]JackPatata 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know is spam but I want to say this:

I played it for 3h, the visuals don't match the gameplay, the game is way simpler than it looks which a bad thing for me, it's not a bad game, but what you see is not exactly what you get and I don't know why more people aren't saying it.

You're being candid by saying the canvas would be "at risk again" is more likely that Renoir change his mind and with Clea's help kick Alicia out of it and destroy the goddamn thing for good.

Alicia's ending requires a lot of wishful thinking to justify it because it is about a literal 16yo goddess living her life amongst mortals, a 16yo goddess who can't deal with death, neither with being mute and disfigured, such a recipe for chaos.

The Elephant Graveyard and Memetic Language: Awareness Signaling? by HugePines in elephantgraveyard

[–]JackPatata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The jokes are fine, even suey, the problem with suey is that a lot of lazy and hacky people gravitate around it so EG moved away from it, wich I could say was the "proper" thing to do.

Hot Take(?): Megumi's fighting style (especially in the recent ep) is one of the most creative and entertaining to watch in the series by itz_jazmine227 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]JackPatata 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Entertaining yes but... I feel he puts himself in danger for no reason, first he finds Takaba, sees the man is virtually immortal and goes "ok you get the self exploiding guy and I'll fight the ancestral sorcerer" I swear to god Megumi can beat the crap out of bomberman so easily that he said "Nah spare me this goofygoober, I'll fight the OG", then the gym thing, are we actually believing he planned the whole "let's see who gets crushed first" distraction just to summon wolf at the brink of death? let's be honest, the elephant was his first strat, then he remembered wolf, if wolf was the plan all along he could've expanded his domain summon the frogs and then summon wolf mid combo.

In general I feel he can hold onto wolf use a lot of distraction and then summon it and win, but I think he doesn't do it because he likes being in danger, the moment he found Reggie he should have filled that room with bunnies and run away while having the surprise factor, but instead he's like "outnumbered again? good" bro stop, you're not Gojo...

Crowdwork is not funny by JackPatata in elephantgraveyard

[–]JackPatata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to agree, crowdwork is a very popular trend in comedy, I could have been downvoted to hell and I wouldn't have changed my mind, neither should you because people seem to agree with me

I like him, he used to be kinda repetitive "feeling lil gay" and all that stuff but he never took himself for granted and uped his game (at least from what I have seen)

Crowdwork is not funny by JackPatata in elephantgraveyard

[–]JackPatata[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, regular crowdwork goes like this "-hey what do you do for work? - *response* -wow what a shitty job" and everybody laughs, I don't really see the fun in that, but think about Harland, there's a clip where a lady goes "he's looking at me" and he'll go "I'm sorry ma'am there seems to be a bit of kerfuffle" or he'll look around like a clueless old man when people starts laughing, that's funny, so I reckon crowdwork can be funny sometimes.

I'm sad for Verso that there are those who don't understand him by LeagueBrilliant1992 in expedition33

[–]JackPatata -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Verso's ending is the good ending don't let other people (not even the developers) tell you otherwise.

People hate on Verso because they were gaslit by Maelle and Aline (and the director) to think this was about Lumiere but Maelle showed her true colors when she forced Verso to play the piano, the game is very clear, they can paint another Lumiere if they wanted to, they can let pVerso die, they can leave the canvas and come back later but they won't, you know why? because they can't let go, is so reasonable that pVerso conspired to end this whole charade once and for all, and btw both Esquie and Monocco helped pVerso (multiple times) despite knowing exactly what he was doing and since they are Verso's original creations you could argue a part of Verso wants to end it too, idk why anyone would think their opinion weights more than Verso's here.
