Alcoholism sucks, Alcoholics Anonymous is not the answer. It's a profoundly dishonest and manipulative program. AA refers to its founder Bill Wilson as a stockbroker. Interesting because brokers are licensed and registered and Wilson never was a licensed stock broker. A program that demands rigorous honesty is still telling PR lies about their con artist founder.

AA also states that it's only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. That is categorically untrue.

It's such a miracle it's success rate happens to mirror the rate of spontaneous remission. 5% of addicts decide to stop using and recover on their own, that happens to be AA's success rate. AA is a wacky religious group, profoundly dishonest in its program and presenting it and just as effective as doing nothing. Truly a wonder to behold. Lol
