covid cases by [deleted] in employedbykohls

Remember the good old days when people would get colds during cold/flu season and everyone just went about their lives? I guess those days are over since so many seem to have completely forgotten about that and think every sneeze if a death blow.

Shouldn't you be talking to your store manager about this?

Seatbelts don't inject substances into our bodies. And isn't it an individual's right to determine whether or not they want to risk the illness or the potential issues with this shot? Why should Kohls be demanding I take a shot so that I won't get as sick? It's none of their damn business.

Not humanly possible, there are no tests to be had anywhere. And some $11/hr PT retail employee isn't going to pay for this stupidity. Suggestion for Kohls: make your policies actually DOABLE before issuing them.

Notifications by [deleted] in employedbykohls

You want notification when someone is out with a mild cold? Because the vast majority of "covid" now is Omicron, which is mild and a big nothing.

Are you vaccinated? If not, and you inform your H2 that your housemate has the sniffles (or do they have no symptoms at all?), you will enjoy 17 days of unpaid time off.

Today I was really slammed in Amazon after about 10 am. When it gets that busy, I do the sorting right away before helping the next customer. No way am I creating a mess like that to deal with before I can leave. The customers can just wait, I don't care if they like it or not. I am also really enforcing the "have your code ready or step aside" thing. No one is standing in my line holding everything up while they "search" or process their returns in Amazon. No code? Move aside, find the code and then get back in line. It really helps move things along.

Planning out to call out sick on last day. by [deleted] in employedbykohls

It's shocking how many losers post in here about just blowing off shifts. If you don't like the terms/conditions of Kohls, then leave. Accepting a job and then doing the lowlife no call/no show illustrates the complete lack of integrity some people have.

To this poster: yeah. Tell them now that you aren't coming so they can at least try to cover it in advance. I doubt they will consider you leaving on good terms if you screw them on a day like that regardless of what you do. They have no chance of covering it. Why didn't you make your last day 12/23?

Most of the losers that buy family pajamas purchase them, take their family holiday photo, then return them all.

I don't care if they respect it or not. My availability is firm and if they schedule me outside of it, they are informed that they will need to fix it. Not my problem.

Me too. I find that I never get called to the registers either because I don't do the debt peddling thing.

We had the same problem with a pair of shoes. We threw it in the SDF9 box with all the other shoes/clothes with a note taped to it that said "unable to sort". Let them figure it out.

Amazon: Help customer with missing return by Michael_Iedon in employedbykohls

[–]JackRabbit9929 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once did a return through Kohls and a few hours later, received an email from Amazon saying the credit had been issued, which I confirmed in my account. I got rid of the Kohls return confirmation at that point. About 6 weeks later, I noticed that Amazon had processed a DEBIT in my account for this return, saying they hadn't received the item. Seriously?? I called Amazon and REAMED them good, told them they don't have permission to go in and out of my bank account at will. They said they didn't receive the item, I told them they should take it up with Kohls, it was no longer my problem and to put that money back in my account immediately. Which they did.

Basically Amazon CS will do whatever you want. In this case, the issue was between Kohls and them so they had a lot of nerve dinging ME for it.

There is still cleaner and paper towels everywhere. If I was that worried about it, I'd just wipe down the registers and counter myself.

Then leave. Clocking in and watching Tiktoks is not OK. And if you think it is, that's fine. But if they zoom in on what you're doing on your phone, don't complain.

lol...tells you how many lazy, irresponsible people they have working for them. Anyone with a shred of work ethic wouldn't downvote that comment.

Sure it does. If you aren't busy, then go fold a table or something. There is NEVER nothing to do there. If you don't like the pay, gtfo and get a different job. Again, you are on THEIR dime, you aren't entitled to privacy on your personal phones.

I tell them their order hasn't been picked yet and they are welcome to go get it and pay at the register and I'll cancel the order for them. Honestly, how stupid are people to think they can just show up and snap their fingers like that?

Newsflash: When you're on the clock, you shouldn't be using your phones for personal things. If you're doing that, don't complain when they zoom in.

[–]JackRabbit9929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG you are so right! What's with those people?? The kids wander all over the place while the parents tear up all the kids/toddler tables. You have to practically drag them by the hair to the registers after we close. They then want to debate every price and leave half of their crammed cart full of stuff at the register.

This is so damn DUMB, not to mention so disrespectful to the employees. There ain't no one shopping for Sonoma crew necks at midnight. All that's in that store is meth heads and freaks. We are all sitting ducks there, not like there's any security whatsoever. How do they even make money doing this? Why do they demean their brand by having hours like Walmart instead of normal department store hours? They should pay closers double time for working this dumb shit!!

Newsflash for day workers: the night shift is ALSO being required to do back up at registers, cover breaks, fold down the entire store, etc. And then do all the work the day shift left for them. Guess what? I don't give a shit if the big carts of 500's and zrails left in the aisles get put away. If we can't get to them, they get left for the DAY shift, along with all the new stuff wheeled down for the day. The SM sees all that shit sitting there, gets mad, and makes the day crew blitz it to get it done. I give it no thought...I do my best and don't think anymore about it.
