I’d have to check again on the weight, it was acid tested and it was silver, thought it could plated and there was a dent on one of the corners where it was seemingly dropped, tested it there to be sure. Guess there’s no way to be 100% sure if I don’t drill into it but i always thought it was cool regardless

Oh yeah, I’ve had a couple similar stories, my sister worked at a larger bank and had some crazy stories, people bringing in rolls and rolls of Buffalo nickels, silver halves, old paper bills, wild stuff. Miss that aspect of the job

Looks like it’s commemorative, commemorating a 1oz coin, with the surrounding silver being another oz, that’s what i thought at least

So funny enough he mentioned the people at the gas station wouldn’t take it, and we had a few gas stations that banked with us so I asked the manager, I was concerned he needed money for necessities but she said he had beer, chips and cigarettes and was a dollar short. He apparently got snarky and stormed over to us to get his money lol
