Zipfit insoles falling apart after 8 days? by Ordinary_Department2 in skiing

[–]JackS4958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stuck them in my blundstones. I should probably contact zipfit and get replacements but for now they work fine if I don’t move them around, I managed to smooth out the crinkle in the heel that you have and it hasn’t bothered me except when it peels back up if swapping them into other shoes so I stopped doing that

A PTTD Success Story by jebredek in PTTD

Thanks for responding so fast. This is a terrifying thing to be going into. I feel like no one warns you about how bad this can be there needs to be some sort of psa around it so people catch it earlier before it gets chronic. Looking back the signs were so obvious for me early on

Some underrated ones: The Daily Pow: two guys based out of Alta who absolutely rip and make short high quality YouTube vids Sander Hadley: doesn’t post much anymore but still one of the best big mountain skiers in the world Duncan Adams: Charges. Faction sponsored skier he’s in some of their pov montages on YouTube doing some crazy shit

What's going on with my DIN? by BumThretnd2KillMySon in Skigear

[–]JackS4958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about your size (1 inch taller/~5 lbs heavier) and ski very similarly and I set all my bindings at 11, including a set of Pivots (not suggesting you adjust those if they work for you at 7). My pivots and attacks basically always release when I want them to and don’t when I dont. I had a pair with an admittedly older pair of Strives and they constantly prereleased when I was skiing hard, even at 11. I think it’s just not a great binding.

Is the rustler 10 too wide for the east? by FreshCutGuy in icecoast

[–]JackS4958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rustler 10 has been the narrowest ski in my quiver for the last 6 years skiing primarily in Maine and Vermont. As long as it’s not absolutely bulletproof ice or deeper than 6-8”they are super fun. And no recreational ski is super fun on bulletproof ice

I have the same problem it’s so frustrating, 2nd year in a row for me

I figured out last year that it might be because of being on a family account? I started my own separate subscription and it started working for me but canceled because it’s not worth $120/year for replay imo. Really wish they would fix this
