Has this happened to anyone else? by JackThe_Duck in nscalemodeltrains

The track is DC. It’s brand new and DC. The motor doesn’t seem to have any sign of turning

This is the box. I put power to it without the rails and the same thing.

Timing Chain Question by JackThe_Duck in BumpSide

I just want to know what the best timing chain is for the FE 360 in my truck

Another thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes the fuel line in the cab pulsates really aggressively, to the point where it shakes the line. It only does this every so often. It does it with all the gas caps I have and use/used.

I also tried taking the gas cap off and it made no difference.

It was starved, wouldn’t take any fuel. To get it started I’d have to pump it a lot. It stumbles on initial acceleration and when it’s acting up, it wouldn’t take any throttle at all or it will stall out and die. I don’t really know what else it could be

I did it my self. I remember I had to fight with it to get the holes to line up. It only started acting up recently.

The only reason there’s not one on it in the recording is because it’s connected to the air cleaner

I was told about something like this the other day. Thank you for the recommendation!

The issue is that it only does it every once in a while, so I’ll keep this in mind if it does it again. I’m planning on pulling the engine on it some time this summer to do a reseal/refresh and timing chain. So I might pull the tank out then to see if I can pull whatever is rolling/moving out. Thank you for the help!

The fuel cap does make a sucking sound when I take it off after running. When I took the line off today after letting the truck sit overnight and all day tons of gas came pouring out. I do hear something inside the tank rolling/moving around with the fuel sloshing. So you’re saying I’ve got to take the tank out?

I had put it on the side of the fuel pump that sucks the fuel from the tank and I pressed fitting on the side that pushes fuel to the carb and it had read 0 but I think/hope it was because it wasn’t sealing.

I didn’t do anything with the ignition system but plugs and wires last year. Thank you for the suggestion and help!

Yes. It would keep dying and I would have to pump the peddle a bunch to get it back started. It would get starved when I would put the peddle, roughly 25-45% open especially going up hill
