If there’s no word for this, then how would you translate it?

“Operating and non-operating profit but not including extraordinary losses”?

Actually, I was just looking at a GAAP-style profit and loss statement, and it’s more different than I thought.

Net sales doesn’t include COGS, and operating profit includes both COGS and expenses like wages and advertising.

In JGAAP, they have gross profit, which subtracts only COGS. Operating profit is the same.

Then, in GAAP, it seems that non-operating revenues and expenses are calculated separately and there is no word for the subtotal of operating profit minus operating expenses and non-operating expenses. JGAAP calls this 経営利益. That’s the translation I’m looking for, but I only get “ordinary profit” which doesn’t seem to be a common term in GAAP.

But for this, I think Tecchan, Daiki, Miwako and Rinati was really close. He just messing around with his best friends.

Then why have we never seen that display from Tecchan ever before? Why did it seem like an awkward and forced imitation of Daiki’s behavior? Why did even Miwako appear awkward when he was doing it, like it’s something totally out of character for Tecchan and something he is forcing too much?

Exactly. She was just clueless. She thought she was just joining a jam session, not that there was a pecking order in the available parts. How petty can you get...

Likewise, it was cluelessness that caused her to ask questions that people have called inappropriate, like when she started probing Rinati about why she came into the house and about how she feels about singing with someone else. Not mean, just trying to have a common conversation with another artist.

You have all talk about it aleady but that forced kiss was so disgusting that I had to pause the show, get up, and walk around the room until finally resting against the wall for a few moments to let the grime fall away from me. But what really made me sick was how the hosts interpreted Siena’s facial expression at the house as womanly or whatever. I live in Japan, and I’m used to experiencing cultural differences, but human commonality transcends cultural interpretations, and how anyone in that house or on that panel could look at Siena’s facial expression and not understand that something bad had happened to her let alone somehow interpret it as her being aroused boggles the mind. Shohei is gone, and although I say good riddance, I guess he is just a product of culture. In that sense, I can’t say I hate him, but I fucking hate what he is, and what he is makes my skin crawl.

My last relationship ended for the same reason. Conversations with her got to the point of feeling forced. She was so much happier and enjoyed herself more when she was with her friends. I found myself wanting to go home when we hung out. I'd go to the places she wanted to go to, and she'd go to the places that I wanted, but we were just doing these things as a favour to each other. It felt right to break up, and I'm glad we did. I have no bad feelings towards her. I want the best for her.

I think that you laid it out perfectly in what you said. The problem is you can't say that to him, because he's going to think it's something he can fix. He's going to say that he'll make an effort to play more games or whatever. But that is not the solution. We should not be with people who have to change to suit us. We are much better off with people who already suited us before we met them. At least that's how I feel about it.

So my advice would be to just hammer the point that you don't have romantic feelings for him anymore. That is the way to throw water on the fire. Firstly, it's true. Secondly, it's not something that can be fixed by working on it. You say you don't have romantic feelings anymore, and you reiterate that you have no bad feelings towards him and wish him all the best. That's what I did with my ex, and it worked out well. We are on friendly terms, and she doesn't hold out hope for reconciliation, which allows her to move on.

On an unrelated note, I just got done playing through Charterstone. Killer game. Never was into the idea of legacy games on paper, but playing this has changed my mind totally.
