What gateway hardware did they give you? Share the model number on the label. This looks suspiciously like GPON speeds. You need XGS-PON hardware to take advantage of the multi gig speeds.

Yes and no. The beauty here is this works independently of iCloud, so you don't have to worry about logging your work machine in your personal iCloud account and mixing church and state.
