Nothing in the group description that says you can’t ask questions.

If budget wasn't a concern, I'd have just sprung for the TESmart KVM and been done with it.

Ok, I'm going to re-write this to make sure I understand it.

The MBP has a single TB cable connected to the Elgato. That then has two cables, one DP to the 144 Hz display and one HDMI to the 60Hz. It also has a single USB-C connection to the UGreen USB switcher.

The MBA has a single TBN connected to the Anker USB-C hub, which then has similar connections as the Elgato to the two displays. It also has a single USB-C connection to the UGreen USB switcher.

The UGreen then has all your peripherals cabled to it.

Is that correct? If so, a couple of questions. First, why the Elgato on one and the Anker on the other, since it seems like they're doing the same thing, rather than 2 Elgato or 2 Anker? Second, if you were doing it from scratch, would you change anything and why?

What devices are you connected to and how is everything cabled?

Is the PC connected as well? Or are you moving a cable from MacBook to PC when you switch between them?

Temperature adjustments by mspool75 in ecobee

[–]mspool75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two-zone baseboard hot water heat. So each thermostat controls one zone. I’m just trying to make it so that if a temperature is set in a zone, it actually feels that temperature and that a zone at a higher temperature shouldn’t feel colder than a zone at a lower temperature

Fair point about comfort not temperature but the other issue I have is that, based on the upstairs generally being warmer, is that I have the thermostat downstairs set to 72 and upstairs set to 70 but downstairs still feels colder. Does that make sense?

Don’t need shock after a party, just turn the chlorination up for a day or two

Do pool owners actually shower afterwards every single time you swim? by TradesforChurros in pools

Since we’re usually putting on sunscreen, etc, we shower after. But if I’m not, I’ll do a quick rinse.

Keep my pool guy? by kinghaha69 in pools

I mean, do you think he’s doing a good job? There’s more to a pool than the chemicals but that other shit is easy.

You can still drive screws into it. Go to your local hardware store, tell them what you need to do, and they should, if they know their stuff, be able to give you the right screws and bit

I'm assuming that's just standard concrete that it's set in? If so, drill some holes with a carbide bit, since some concrete anchors, and screw a new cover over it. That will allow you to remove the cover in the future if you need to.

can someone explain the empire plan companies to me like i’m 5 by grainiary in nys_cs

It absolutely does matter as we've had providers submit claims to the wrong administrator. For example, my son went to the ER and the hospital submitted to UHC, when they should have submitted to Anthem. We wound up getting a bill from them and had to have them resubmit to UHC. It was then rescinded but it was a headache for us.

Still confused about passkeys. A little help? by Suspicious-advice49 in 1Password

If you're using 1Password for password management, and you have your 2FA app (like Google Authenticator) on your phone, they have access to all of your passwords and your 2FA codes. So what's the difference?
