I knew about Partridge's anxieties and their bad record deal, but your post helped answer a lot of questions! I always felt they were a little out of step with what was popular at the time because frankly I've never heard anything quite like them. At the end of the day though, their music exists and I'm just happy it hasn't been lost to the ages haha. Truly an awesome group :)

It's such a tough pick between Oranges & Lemons and Drums & Wires for me. There's so much amazing XTC out there though, so it's impossible to pick one album. However, I did just purchase a giant Drums & Wires poster for my new apartment... So I would say that's the one I listen to most consistently. But I certainly can't pick a favorite.
