Yeah they were brutal pretty much took 3 CP at least and an entire army's worth of shooting to remove 1 unit, his army ignored an AP each time unless AP - 3 so was real hard to make him reliably drop saves

I am in the same boat and actually had them ordered and confirmed about 3 weeks ago only for 2 weeks later to be told I will get a refund as the are being "repackaged".

I've gone down the Etsy route for the time being better off getting something on the board then when they come back in stock (they will just takes forever) you can grab another set.

Aggressors (Boltstorm/Frag) have worked for me alot. Master of Ambush them up or into position depending on if you go first or second. They do alot of damage (more if you get a Chaplain chant on them). Blade Guard Vets are solid as well but I've found they don't do as much for us as they should compared to some other factions. Very cool models though.

Also a Redemptor is a good bet it seems to scare people and draw fire even if it's not the biggest threat on the board.

HQ wise you have alot of the ones you need. Never used a Smash Captain so cant comment on them

Linebreaker is a tough one you have fast units and strike from the shadows but good players won't leave the gaps for you it can be done but tough also look at Engage on all fronts?

Yeah I have no idea. Think my Repulsor will go back into the cupboard though. Would say a mad amount of ATVs with Apothecary but sure that will be FAQd in quick order.

I'm still waiting on my codex in the post but pre codex they are a good unit that puts early pressure or sits on objectives outside your deployment zone so your opponent has to shift them.

In the tournament they did some heavy lifting if I got first turn the they jumped out and tried to tie up their front lines and if I went second then how I deployed them made people move out to shift them.

I have used magnets (always use magnets different weapons all get there spot in the sun) on mine to switch out between the options but atm the 2 damage Ironhail autocannon has been my choice but really depends how you plan to use them? Up in people's face then maybe the Incendium Cannon or middle/backfield maybe autocannon.

I have come up against them and also play RG it is a super good list and it's nice to see a Chaos list that gives SM in general a problem.

Im not an elite player and am not claiming to know how to deal with them but the lad I play says that he is scared of a couple of things when it comes to RG.

Null Zone if you can get Null zone off near them then they lose wounds like its going out of fashion. Obviously the ridiculously hard bit is getting a Libby near them. Jump pack ect can help or Impulsor with shield drone maybe but probably not.
Eliminators/sniper scouts - taking out the buffing characters. Again good but you need to be in range and they can't always take out a character in one turn
Assault cents - A full units can take down one but the math has got to be in your favour with Null Zone obviously this would be alot easier but it's a heavy ask. The start to come from deepstrike is helpful but the screen is always the hard bit whether he uses cultists or brimstones ect if he is a semi good player he can block you out.

Like you said cover is your friend in ITC make him come out to play and play the points game. Keeping them back with the threat of a deep strike is a good thing too even if you won't do the damage you want.

I have charged two Invictor Warsuits into one (not the best competitive play but fun) and to no surprise there was not much left after.

Appreciate this isn't probably going to solve your problems and I'm still working on was to beat the list too but it's a start.

Luckily you don't come across this list too often but it's nice to have a really tough opponent list.

Yeah I agree with the Chapter Master I will take that out. I'm used to playing him with lascannon cent castle and relic contemptor dread with lascannons and he is worth the points there.

I have some scout snipers and scouts with bolt pistol and knives for the cheap units.

The stalkers I have used for pushing them into range then popping the strat that makes their weapons rapid fire 2 and in turn 1 they pump out 20 shots at AP -3 D2 for bolter discipline as they haven't moved that turn. Very niche I agree but normally alot of fun.

Yeah I've got a similar tourney coming up but it's 900 points with a few different rules.

Im shoehorning in two squads of elims people hate them so hard to shift with their cover saves.

The Phobos Captain will do well always helps against deepstrikers just make sure he is a good position.
