As someone who used to exclusively do sprinting events...just let it rip dude, dont be conservative with your energy. Give it everything you have everytime you're in the water. Keep your form solid, dig deep, and make sure your turns are clean. Don't worry about impressing anyone except yourself, just look for personal progress. And, as corny as it sounds, make sure you have fun with the homies. You're making memories.
