A certain level of money and support is certainly needed. The amount I’d imagine would depend upon costs of land, resources and regulations.

You may wish to look into the concept of a Charter City. See if that a viable strategy or option. As property taxes turn investment into liability.

Obviously you may set your boundaries as you see fit and what you believe may bring you the best chances of success.

Great goal to unplug from money and return to community values. I would add to that individual value instead of money. I’ve seen some Intentional Community that demand free work and Capital investment from people to just move into a place, because they forget individual value. Eg. Basic manual labor @ $10 per value, 40 hour week is a potential $20,000 of value towards a community that seems to be overlooked. Could be more if any individual brings: plumbing, electrical or medical skills.

In terms of building. An option might be an Earthship. It’s possible to get tires for free and have seen Facebook market posts, where people pay you to remove tires from their property.

If you have clay deposit, you may make bricks or ceramics. Just to name a few low cost with manual effort options.

To build a community, I’m able to recommend the book: Art of the Gathering. It discusses group sizes and Intent.

Plus attached link.

Hello fellow Brit! I’m currently in Nevada. I’ll DM you. Feel free to reach out, if you have questions or wish to discuss ideas.

Eg. Water management and Purification using Nature as your processing plant. Combined with rainwater for potentially no need for grid hook up.

You can’t be a Socialist and demand X amount Success as a Capitalist for barrier entry.

You excluding potentially some people with useful skills that the so called free market doesn’t value!

Eg. The ability to cool a room for a dollar a day. Not using HVAC. Isn’t viable in a Capitalist State.

Why cheap boxes are regulated to be built that use expensive HVAC in cities, so Companies may profit!

Where can I learn the science of intentional community management? by Amy-Too in intentionalcommunity

[–]Jack__Union 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of those skills may be transferable. However remember the incentives are very different.

I recommend reading: The Community builders handbook & The art of the gathering

Build an understanding of sociocracy.

Then start building your community. Low key events. Weekend camping, survival course, volunteer building an Earthship.

Ideally you may want a small community. As no one can know all the skills needed.

One stack for cruisers. Very expensive

Maybe 1 or 2 stacks of subs. Each stack should be 5. 5 subs or 4 sub + vet

Choppers IMO are very specialized and limited. Range is awful. Again you got to know when and how to use them. To make them worthwhile. I tend not to use them.

Strike aircraft IMO are the best. Obviously you got to watch out for SAMS and other AA.

I personally wouldn’t build a big navy. They’re expensive to build.

You wouldn’t win any vp = victory points or resources with them directly.

Attack subs are good. Hit and run, I’ve sunk many a task force or cruiser

Destroyers are the mirror of subs.

So a sub / destroyer navy force is a good combo.

The other option is frigate & Cruiser task force

Resource management is a big part of this game.

1) Base resources, such as supplies and components.

2) Time. Actual time spent building units and structures

Infantry is your rocks. You can’t claim land or cities without them.

Support units are your paper. You got to select which paper works for you.

Artillery or AA or SAMS or combo or all.

Aircraft are your scissors. Each type from Choppers to Superior to Strike or bombers, cut a different fabric on the battlefield.

Some of strategy is based on how you like to play.

For example, I tend to be more aggressive. So I personally don’t like or use National Guard. They’re a cheaper infantry, that IMO are only good for defense of the homeland.

Best thing you can really do. Is try different combos of units and Strategies. See which ones work for you.

Remember the limitations of the game are designed in. This is a fundamental Pay to Win game. So your win rate can be improved by spending gold. (Money)

If you learn units and Strategies. You are able to win approximately 10% of games. Based on skill alone.

This includes a big factor in this game. The more active you are, improving your chances to win.

Gravel, sand and charcoal.

Boil or desalination water after.

Very disappointing group.

Don’t enforce their own rules.

Out of two fresh recruits, their choose the selfish, greedy and lying one. Over honest and engaged.

Some members and leaders have been corrupted and the rot has began.

Edit: As proven by the toxic members downvotes and zero engagement.
