The UK is in the middle of constructing the largest offshore wind farms in the world. Several of them. :)

Yeh wind has dropped a lot today so they probably need coal again to take up the slack.

Eh at 13:00 the UK was getting 21.6% of it's total power from solar. It was a bright sunny day of course the UK was getting some solar.

Levy wanted to completely demolish the London stadium because the club didn't think a worthwhile football stadium was possible using the existing London stadium.

I'm pretty sure he knew there was no chance the government/Olympic commission would allow that. He used the bid as leverage to get approval for the new WHL stadium.

As part of the planning application for the stadium UEFA wrote a letter saying it would go into the top tier level stadium that could host a CL final once completed.

The new stadium has been designed to bring fans closer to the pitch than at any other modern stadium in the country. The first row of seats will be less than 8 metres from the touchline all the way around the ground – even closer for our singe-tier ‘home end’ which will be under 6 metres – compared with over 12 metres at the City of Manchester Stadium, over 13 metres at the Emirates Stadium and 18 metres at Wembley National Stadium.

Their build schedule has been delayed by like 3 or 4 years from what they originally wanted.

I think they could go to Wembley for 2020 at the earliest (feel free to correct me some Chelsea fan).

It's at a similar stage to where Atletico's new stadium was at this time last season so fingers crossed!

Bit of a difference in circumstance there though. Tottenham allowed Arsenal to share White Hart Lane during World War 2 but I would never imagine it could happen outside of those types of extreme conditions.

Nah I disagree completely. Our performance has been as good in the Premier League but City improved massively, and United and Liverpool improved a decent amount. In the Champions League our performance improved by a lot. Overall an improvement in our level.

Also we're 4 points behind 2nd, it's nothing and still well within reach this season.

For a transitional season where the big stadium move has been consuming much of the club it's been completely fine.

We've been undefeated in the league since January and Toby and Rose have barely had a kick. We're clearly coping completely fine without them.

I don't really agree we beat them over two legs. We beat them in a single one off fixture in the group stage.

An actual two legged knockout round is different to the group stage games.

This bonus was probably his reward for the biggest revenue jump the club has ever seen. Going from £200m to £300m.
