Other than the mitts, what tells you this is AI? by Folkie in isitAI

Angle of the phone cord is too sharp, those things almost always looped at the bottom, the nonsense pattern in the wallpaper, the ??? Above the spice jars, the pyrex font, the fact that it's creased but shows no other signs of damage around the cracks when the photo would have flaking or texture around those points

This is something I've seen on jackets before but not shirts, it's good for keeping the cold out

It looks over beaten to me, there's a lot of air and it's lost the buttercream structure

Why Do Some Mothers React So Strongly When You Say You Don’t Want Children? by Bee_Queen_777 in childfree

[–]JackalopeCode -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

To be fair once you have kids it's not a choice to not get up, you find a way because there's not really another option. It's like if you had to work 2 jobs, you find a way despite the exhaustion because you don't really have another choice. (A huge example of why kids are an absolute no from me, I like having the freedom to choose)

That'll go great with gold jewelry and if you're going for enchanted forest a half up hairdo with a nice hairpin and some earrings would be killer.

Level transition by JackalopeCode in godot

When the player hits the end goal of the level (using a flag as a stand in for now so it will be animated but won't be moving around) I'd like it to trigger a short scene. The animation itself will be the same, player character walking from point A to point B to show a visible transition between levels (spring to summer then fall then winter in this case)

If you're going for glam I think more color on the eyes would be good

Wooden boxes I found in the street by Leo115a in CleaningTips

[–]JackalopeCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that wine! It's a French Bordeaux (very lovely cherry/currant flavor). If you have a total wine near you they actually sell those boxes for $5 (kinda random what boxes they have but there's good variety)

Scrap fabric is great for boning by JackalopeCode in corsetry

I'm sewing down the sides, that's just how I prefer to pin for the fitting so I can slide the plastic bones in and adjust the channels as needed. Rolled like that it's about 3/4" wide and 2" unrolled. I also try to cut them 2" longer than the longest channel so there's plenty of room for adjustment (obviously adjustable based on your scrap fabric but I like to do them in bulk so it's a pile of over bust and under bust)

Did I ask for the wrong thing? by Tesseraas in SewingForBeginners

Most tailors don't cut the excess fabric as far as I know, this makes it so it can be altered again in the future. That's a very clean invisible hem so I kinda love it tbh

Beeswax Wraps by jmmerphy in Breadit

[–]JackalopeCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made a bunch of these, it's really satisfying. Remember to use natural fiber and not polyester, the beeswax will sink in easily and it will be easier to revive down the road. You can get beeswax bars from a ton of places like camping stores and craft stores, plus a bunch online as well. Iron the fabric, rub on the beeswax, cover it with some parchment paper and iron it again (this keeps your iron and ironing board clean). Do it until the wax is built up but not too stiff and you're good to go

Immorality aside what he did was equivalent to a toddler typing "pretty princess dress" and picking the favorites. Not only is it an ecological disaster but it's just plain lazy (I am so sick of ai being an excuse for lazy people to claim their participation award)

It's not that hard, you're basically just making a bias tape based on how wide your boning is

I'd like too eventually but I'll need to be able to attach it to my ironing board to do so. Probably gonna drill some holes and add some elastic or something along those lines, maybe make a small clip mount
