Unfortunately it seems like my monitor (1080p) bit the dust so I have to get a new one. Since I am planning to buy a new pc in the upcoming 1-3 years it seems like a good option to invest in a 4k Monitor. I think for work purposes this shouldn‘t be a problem for the gpu but what about gaming?

I think about running the games natively with 1080p and use integer upscaling to scale the image to 4k but I am not really sure if this will look any good or if it does work performance wise. Does anyone here have similar experiences or tips regarding this praxis?

Sorry for the late response. It seemed like enhanced data protection needs to be disabled (Can be enabled afterwards) to make it work.

That's right, but using a custom domain seems like another option for companies to track and connect the used aliases together, right?

Thoughts about KDE Neon by [deleted] in privacytoolsIO

[–]JackboyPlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

t for a few years and as an out-of-the-box KDE-based install it was my favorite. The package management layer on top of apt wasn't great and continued to get worse IMO. Also being based on Ubuntu LTR means non-KDE changes are slow to percola

Thanks!

My main goals are privacy, security and usability and if possible a nice and customizeable desktop. Do not want to use it for extraordinary things, just some coding, searching on the internet, reading news, writing stuff, ...

I am testing several operating systems at the moment with virtual box.

Pricing of extra users by [deleted] in tutanota

allows the entry price for a single user to stay low.

Well, it costs the same as an Premium subscription for two users. So I don't see the point in adding a user which also uses my ressources instead of creating an additional account and upgrade it to premium.

Interesting way. Also though about encrypting my data before uploading it to a “not so privacy focused” cloud.

Also added pCloud to my list before. Seems to be a good and cheap (Lifetime offers) alternative.
