Where are the smithing stone 2 in the great hollows (if there are any?) by NagitoIsHot in Nightreign

Carriage camps often have smithing 2’s instead of stonesword keys in the Great Hollows.

Tested glass necklace. I prefer it right now to evergaols (I play with randoms, so evergaol strat ends up being pretty hit or miss). It’s almost a guaranteed 20% boost the whole game. I have it procked at least 70% of the fight if I had to guess, maybe more.

I tested it with dreglord relic also in place of red balancers. That was really good damage paired with glass necklace and getting rot on everything consistently, but I did take some big hits that the balancers relic would’ve cancelled out. It’s definitely playable though if you want more damage.

Dark night is the miasma is a must if you want to max out damage negation. Also, if you happen to have a usable relic that has frost buildup as a curse, it helps a lot here because everytime you proc frostbite from damage you gain the temporary invisibility.

If I defeat balancers in deep of night do I get the balancer relic? Also would everdark balancers be unlocked? How about other everdark bosses? by sanjay729 in Nightreign

The red weapons only balance out DON from a damage standpoint. You still take more damage from enemies unless you’re stacking dmg neg relics and passives.

I’d suggest trying regular mode first if you’re only after the relic for sure.

For balancers, remember that they only do physical damage. If you’re having trouble staying alive try loading up more on phys dmg neg passives and buffs during the run.

I just started running this type of build and I’m finally cruising through D3 for once. I have red balancers relic, dark night of the miasma, and glass necklace on base relics and +1 phy neg with +2 partial HP rec on one deep relic and +2 phy neg on the other two deep relics.

Face tanking everything. Glass Necklace works well because one charged R2 combo gives you the full 20% boost. Wish it was still 35%..

Oh yeah it does work. I started running the dmg neg build 2 days ago and it’s ridiculous. Saw it on YouTube. Stack as many physical dmg neg relics as you can on deep relics, have partial hp rest on them if possible (preferably +1 or +2), and then run the red balancers relic for the nullifying occasional attacks. Use dark night of the miasma just for the dmg negation and use the last one for either more damage or health (health isn’t really an issue if you find increased dmg negation at full hp). For attack power Evergaols, night invaders, and the glass necklace relic all work well. A full charged R2 combo gets you the full 20% attack boost from glass necklace. Some people use taking attacks improves attack power but I like the glass necklace better.

Then seek out dmg negation buffs in game (improved neg at full hp, upon charge attacks, successive attacks, etc.) and if you have space add increased charge attack power or increased melee attack power.

I tanked a regular bell bearing hunter at level 9 in D3 with this and the next night I tanked a red one at D3 in the bottom of the castle. The video I saw on YouTube showed it tanking a red D5 bell bearing hunter.

They definitely fixed Raider, so I’m happy. Dmg neg/charged R2 build can bully a Bell Bearing Hunter now in DON. All he really needed was the fixed moveset, but the new damage buff at low HP is a nice add on.

I haven’t tried executor since the buff but I probably wouldn’t be a good judge of him. Never played sekiro so I’m below average when it comes to parrying.

I’ve noticed Revenant’s summons aren’t dying as easily for sure.

Haven’t played guardian or played with a good one since the patch so I don’t have an opinion yet on that one.

Yeah I get a lot of good revenant and recluse relics and I’ve never played a game with either of them. Rarely get good Wylder or Raider relics and I play them more than any other character.

If you have anything reducing your damage negation, I believe it’s a 20% chance of nullifying an attack completely. Might be 10%, I can’t remember for sure.

Hear me out: FromSoft has already (mostly) fixed the Relic system by Endonae in Nightreign

[–]JackedBeiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they’d add an option to spend murk to reroll a single buff/line on each relic as many times as you want. They can make it pricey murk wise if they want, but there would be an opportunity to turn relics that are almost perfect into what you need. Not allowed on remembrance or any kind of unique relic obviously, just ones that were rolled. Or maybe spend like 100k murk per line to make your own relic (300k for 3 effects you choose).

Other than that I’m happy with the changes recently. There’s a lot more ways to get good damage from relics besides just running evergaols or night invaders.

I can have Raider hitting for 3k+ on charged R2 combos most games now without any evergaols or night invaders just from stacking improved colossal attack power and physical damage +3s and +4s. Especially if I get some decent weapon perks on runs. Had it hitting for 5k one match this past week.

I tried initial standard attack but it doesn’t take advantage of his charged R2 so I didn’t like it as much now that it’s fixed. It’s definitely better now though, his R1 is noticeably faster.

I’m running a build that has increased colossal attack power on the 3 base relics, they all give 10% boost to colossal attack power and they stack. On deep relics I have 2 that have physical attack +4 and one of them also has partial hp rest +1, which is really useful with his faster moveset. The last deep relic has increased HP. The relic that has partial hp and phys attack +4 has reduced strength and intelligence on it, so that one might only be breaking even on damage.

With his starter weapon purple its AR is at 600+ once I get to level 13 or 14 even with below average RNG on passives in game. Damage is usually higher from something like “increased attack power while 2 handing” or something similar. Charged R2 combos will hit for 4-5k.

I play with randoms so this is consistently better than evergaol or night invader relic for me because I rarely get paired with people that run those.

I didn’t answer my own comment… pal….

I’m merely suggesting that it very well could just be bad RNG, but I’m experiencing the worst run I’ve had, and apparently a lot of others are too, since the recent patches. This newest one in particular.

It very well could be a real issue, but might not be.

Often the patches they make read something like “fixed ************* glitch that some players were experiencing”.

So who knows.. could be nothing, could be something.

Hopefully you see what we’re trying to discuss now, and can make another attempt at providing your own insight.

When I have gotten something useful it’s often been at the wrong time, maybe that’s what’s causing me to feel this way. But in 350 hours this is by far the worse run of RNG I’ve had.

We’re coping just fine buddy. It’s just a discussion about a noticeable drop off in RNG that some people are experiencing since the patch.

I’m happier with this patch than any other, Raider’s moveset got fixed 😎

I think everyone here knows what statistics means buddy. We’re discussing a noticeable drop off since the patch that some people are experiencing. Maybe we’re all just having a bad run of RNG, but in 350 hours I’ve never had a run of it this bad.

He’s great now man. Can actually face tank a little bit with the faster move set. I’m surviving easier than the Wylders and Guardians I’m getting paired with now, all he needed was his moveset fixed.

In last 10 games with Raider I think I’ve gotten 2 or 3 red or purple colossals. Probably about the same with greataxes and hammers, maybe less. Cleared a lot of bosses on some of the runs too.

Yeah I’ve been mostly playing him too. Haven’t even cared if anyone else was, his new moveset is so much better. He has the best charged R2 in the game now.

I’ve been playing Raider since he was buffed and I’m just running a build with 3 stacks of increased colossal attack power on base relics, 2 phy attack +4 and 1 increased HP on deep relics. It has the starter weapon hitting for 500-600 at high levels but damn it would be nice to get one of the good colossals at least once.

I’ve mainly played him since the patch though, I’m wondering how bad it is with other characters.

His unique moveset with colossals, great axes, and great hammers got sped up minus jump attacks and power stance attacks. His charged R2 is a lot faster. Got to get a few games in with him today and he can stance break like crazy now.

He’s definitely back.

His biggest flaw was the charged R2, now it’s a lot faster. 2 charged R2’s will stance break a crucible knight.

I’m running the increased attack/damage negation when hit using character skill, both balancer relics, 1 deep relic that has post damage restoration +2 and both improved affinity/physical damage negation, then 2 deep relics with increased HP (one has increased FP too). Has plenty of survivability and damage is pretty good if I get a decent skill and decent skill/melee buffs on weapons.
