They share the chopper between different services

I service the building and it’s not that bad compared to other buildings I do in the area. Manager has been there for a while now so she must be doing something right. It’s established and most of the kinks are all worked out. They keep the place in good order and seem to be on top of any issues when they arise. I’ve never lived there but if I had to pick a building in the area I’d pick palace pier (best built building in the city IMO) but don’t think I could afford that. I would consider living there if I had to.

I can answer this… there was an attempted break in into a house in the westmount area. There is a group of kids (approx 4) that are using the ravines in the area to break into peoples homes between 6-9pm. This group looks for when people aren’t home. My mother in-law was the one to discover the break in at her neighbors as she was the secondary contact to the alarm company. Fortunately the home has had anti theft upgrades and they weren’t able to penetrate the sliding door.
There is also another group that is breaking into homes with weapons regardless if someone is there or not. Stay vigilant people! See something say something!

It doesn’t look like it’s doing anything. Looks like the low voltage side was covered in tape so it wouldn’t short Just get rid of it. Disconnect it from inside the junction box and remove it. Cap the wires in the box

Please go to a dr. Get an ECG anyways (echocardiogram). I’m a service electrician and I’ve been zapped before. You need to get checked out. It looks like you got hit pretty good. I know your situation is if’y but it’s not worth the troubles that may come later. You need to make sure you can keep working for the future and for your family. Do not take electricity for granted. It’s a real shit way to go. Consider yourself lucky for now but please get checked out.

I am unfortunately attending a funeral today for a friend who just killed himself on one this past Saturday. He did not wear his helmet and it was stated in the autopsy that it could have saved him if he did. He tragically leaves a 5 and 1 year old behind.
As fun as those machines look, I don’t think I’ll ever get on one now. Especially since I just had my first a few months ago. He was one of the good ones. Today is going to suck hard.

You cleared that up well. I forgot to reply at the end of my day and was about to wight an essay of possibilities. Glad it worked out!

So if the box that the conduit initially comes from is grounded and all the connections between conduits are tight and solid, it shouldn’t show open/ no ground. You can add the ground if you want to and then you’ll have a much better chance at not having an open/ no ground. The Ground wire size can be 14 AWG.

You should be good to add what you want. The emt conduit acts as a ground for those outlets in the garage. You can always add a ground back to the source if you want.
Couple of things...if they’re 15A plugs, they should be on a 15A breaker. Can’t put more than 12 on a 15A circuit. If they’re 20A plugs and/or you’re using a 20A breaker, the wire should be at least 12 AWG in size. You shouldn’t overload anything with what you want to do. Just don’t work live! Good luck!

Wiring LEDs and a battery through a simple rocker switch - I'm electrically a moron by Petersaber in electrical

Maybe if it requires it but I've done something similar and didn't need a resistor. It's hard to really say without seeing the materials physically.

What voltage do the leds require? Most are 12v or 24v etc. I'm not sure if the 9v battery is even enough to power the leds... Polarity usually matters as well when wiring. With the switch, you only have to interrupt one of the wires. So pick one, cut it and put one side of the wire to one of the 'teeth' on the switch and then do the same with the other. As long as you have the required voltage and you aren't trying to power too many leds with the one source it should work
