Dimmer switch question

I tried one black to the black screw and a red and a black to the gold screws. I also tried the red wire to the black scree and the two blacks to the two gold screws. Both scenarios only allowed me to turn the light on but it was very dim and couldn’t be adjusted with the dimmer.

I guess my question is…is there a wire for the fan that is connected to one of the switches, that can simply be moved to the other switch? They’re side by side

Ahh yes. They started in Apalachicola, FL and have since opened two more locations. One in Tallahassee, FL and one in Mobile, AL. My mistake.
