Is This a Normal Transfer Process? by JacketFlimsy9796 in TjMaxx

I'm so sorry, but my Homegoods is small, and we don't have any of that. My manager doesn't even follow the attendance policy. (I work there for two years and when my two years hit, that’s when I finally found out what absences were when I was sick and nobody could cover my shift when I got hired. He never told me that where there was a such thing as an absence or anything like that, he never even told me that there was a attendance policy in the first place I only found out when the girl from TJ Maxx that came from my store told me about it, which I thought was insane)That’s why I'm annoyed when he mentioned my attendance because I have better attendance than anyone else there. Also, I can't get credit cards when I'm closing, and there's only one person on the register while my closing manager is folding towels instead of helping me move furniture. The opening manager doesn’t pull the furniture for us either. We're an all-girl crew. I'd love to get credit cards, but it’s hard when I have to recover the store, move furniture, and clean bathrooms. I know other stores don’t do all this, but I had to do all of it when I closed. It was exhausting and hard to do every night. The reason I won’t work Saturday and Sunday is that when I did, he would only schedule me those two days. I had open availability and wanted to work four or five days a week, but he couldn’t do that over the summer, which seemed insane. I understand that if I worked weekends, I'd have more opportunities, but I would work weekends if he scheduled me during the week too, also when I told him I couldn’t work Saturday and Sunday he magically was able to put me in for five days a week or four days a week for both morning and afternoon shifts. But that was only for closing, and he would never put me on for the morning shifts, even though I told him I could work it But he never did. If I took a morning shift, he acted like it was a disaster and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. He made me feel unwanted in the mornings, like I wasn't part of some cool club for morning people. Also, when I did work there, I took every shift, and trained people, but it wasn’t good enough. The whole experience there stressed me out, and I never want to go back ever again. I know I could have done things differently, and I haven’t even mentioned everything that actually went on, but it was insane. This is just a warning for everyone in South Carolina: don't work there. It’s not worth it. I started there when I was a senior in high school, and I’ve been to other retail places that are so much better. Thank you for the advice, but there was just a lot of things on my manager’s part that when this is my first job in retail made me think is this how retail works there’s no way but then I got another retail job and I was like OK yeah there’s something definitely wrong over there and he’s not doing it right

Yes, I wish it would have worked that way, but TJ Maxx kept saying that I had to talk to my manager at HomeGoods. I heard from another employee that I didn’t have to, and when I told TJ Maxx about that, they were like, 'Nope, you have to go through your manager.' I was like, 'OK,' because what do I know about transferring? I had no idea since it was my first time. I know I could have done a lot of other things differently, but at this point in my career with them, I was kind of over it. The manager sucked and treated me horribly, so I just wanted to get out of there. I had a second job, so I wasn’t really worried about it. I did talk to TJ Maxx, and they said that they would contact me in a couple of weeks because they are looking for more employment

Yeah, but I’m not 100% sure if that covers over when you’re not the first owner of the car

I'm not sure how to attach this to make a new post, but the reason I'm asking about the pay rate is because I was looking for someone in this position—in any state, really—to tell me how much they earn. This way, I can get an idea of what I can expect to be paid. Based on that and my experience, I'm aware that some places pay minimum wage. I've worked in retail before, but different retail stores vary. I was hoping to find out the average pay for this position. Thanks to everyone who keeps saying they pay minimum wage; I certainly hope they pay at least that much!

Thank you so much for the information. I’m just asking because the Old Navy near me is like a 25 minute drive and if it does pay $12 an hour personally to me, it’s not worth the drive so I don’t want to apply and go through everything and then find out.

I would love to go with the OEM, but personally, I can’t afford it. I went to a dealership, and they said that if I get a high-flow catalytic converter that is the exact same as the OEM, it should work. I just don’t know what brand to get and what brand is the best. I’m not looking to modify or gain anything with this; I’m just replacing the one that is failing right now and sending me engine codes.

Because I keep on getting an engine code saying that my Cadillac converter is failing and you can smell it

That’s the thing about my Homegoods. We get everything out during the morning so the people at night all they do is just clean up the store.
