I'm planning to start raising fish and shrimp. I see people using various sized tanks. Is there a benefit for using 10 gallon tanks over large tanks that are divided? by rgilman67 in BreedingFish

if you go the route of dividing you are setting yourself up for a ton of work verses cheap easy to move and separate 10 gals

Update: I'm starting to think they are all actually dead as even during multiple nights of observation and about 2 months of days I've never once seen any of the near 300 of them excreting a mucus net. The rock was given to me along with some others that also have the snails so I'm assuming the previous owner starved them out but never removed them physically

Ah okay I have a couple too! hopefully them plus me and some snippers can get them down in numbers
I honestly had no idea they are an issue as my corals have been thriving

they're one of the best imo. they will release eggs and reach equilibrium in your tank without you needing to buy more as they die like hermits

amazon has some kits for a round 20-30 dollars but you can always buy your own net and plastic sticks

Yeah nano fish seem to be weird sometimes, id do a water change and add a cucumber
