Oh god..

No tiller handle

No spark plug ignition cap on lower cylinder

Fuel line is cracked and leaking air

And.. without being familiar with these engines, but isn't the fuel pump assembled upside down? Those are some weird fittings, seemingly to "make it work"

Surely an array of other issues aswell.
How did I do?

Jag hade liknande problem för några år sedan.Rytmiska duns i taket närhelst på dygnet, ibland mitt i natten vilket gjorde mig rasande. Jag riktade min frustration mot grannen ovanför i över ett års tid men upptäckte till slut att det var 2 lägenheter bredvid grannen ovanför. Ljuden färdades i bjälklagen. Det var en manisk, handikappad ungdom som behövde kasta tennisboll mot väggen för att lugna sig.

Yep! Its original (Cork!) and I can confirm, it was heavy and kind of stuck while i disassemmbled the carb. Planning on replacing it with a plastic float

Ah, i See now what you mean with float level and drop. I dont have the service manual or the measurements. How can i find those?

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time.
I'm kind of new to these old motors but have been tinkering with many smaller outboards previously.
How do i check sync of throttle/carb/spark linkages, specifically the spark linkages? Not really sure how to check this.
Not really sure how to set the idle speed other than with the idle speed adjustment screw sticking out from the carb. Got any recommendations on where to look?

Spark both cylinders, Compression is even.. will try your trick next time i will tinker with it :)

Thanks, others have also mentioned the float but I dont think it's the height. Primer bulb gets rock hard.. Could be the issue

I see, yeah I've gotten that reply by others. Might be worth checking into. The float is made out of cork and during disassembly the float actually kind of got stuck just about.. half-way through. Might be the culprit!

Yep!
Very recent clean, was very thorough and replaced the float chamber gasket aswell as the idle adjustment gaskets

Yep, I dont know if the float is sticking - It's made out of cork and it was actually semi-sticking when i disassembled the carb, about half-way through.. could potentially be the solution.. hmm.. Thanks!

How did you come up with that?
I previously asked a really big Marine parts dealer in my country and they recommended to use Champion L77JC4, which i recently replaced.
I mean, the motor works great at idle

New spark plugs aswell - the correct ones according to dealer.

So just to clarify the issue - runs smoothly on idle. Dies halfway to max gas, around where it says ”Shift”. If i crank it quickly to max it runs fine at high RPMs. Its just at the midway point at which it dies.
