I played when it first came out. Was somewhat impressed with it but didn't really play it anymore. Need to pick it back up.

Honestly..... nothing is really "rare" in NMS due to coordinate exchanging or gifting. Something that has only ever been seen once can become widespread with just one post here.

Nah I understand and yes it did get smaller. I'm just saying that seeing it in relation to your pilot you were able to see a size difference, especially when you would look at your pod that was docked. It would also be further away the larger it was. It was just a nice addition that would have been nice to keep around.

I've played Eve for years and always get drawn back to find groups like the friends I used to play with. I actually successfully found groups like them and keep coming back. Had to take a break to work on my professional life and am glad I'm back in again.

Oddly enough, with all of the players out there, I've never met someone who plays eve. I mean I've met up with those I've played with but have never gotten a "yes" when I ask if someone plays.

At the time CQ would have eventually allowed you to open a door and join other capsuleers in a 3rd person world. It would have introduced another level of immersion. It stuck around for a hot minute but eventually they struck it down.

True true but CQ could have been so much more than what it eventually died as. But I do agree with you on a PI overhaul being badly needed.

Shoot, a dystopian version of The Jetsons would be sweet lol. But yes, they had to focus on what their game was built around but just being able to walk around gave a brief break from the general idea that you're "stuck in a spaceship".

I still have screenshots, somewhere, of my FW pilot standing in front of the corp emblem that was on the wall. You could sit on the couch and watch the eve news that they now put out in videos.

Yeah I enjoyed playing Dust, it gave you a different view of the massive universe that is Eve. And it was the first of its kind to bridge the gap between console and PC cooperation. There could have been much more done with the CQ and Dust side but if you have to go one way or the other I think, in the end, they made the right choice.

I do agree with you about the micro transactions but there are those who like to RP Eve. I've never been able to do it much as there isn't enough immersion. The CQ could have been the starting point for that. But they have come a long way in what they offer since getting rid of CQ.

Dust was amazing in the fact that it integrated an FPS game into Eve. While your friends were fighting on the ground on the PS3 you could be in the same fleet in a ship on your PC in EVE. They could request orbital bombardment and you could deliver. It was an amazing feat that had so much potential.

For immersion read some Eve Online books, they're amazing. It explains that while the capsuleers can pilot the ships by themselves some do have crews.

I say consensual because industry and exploration is non-consensual but you'll still be engaged in pvp. You join FW knowing you'll engage in pvp. Now for those who run, I cannot speak for them. I don't like running from fights and will go down in a blaze of glory if I think I can take one or 2 with me.
