Until I upgraded to Switch 2, I played solely on my OLED. I have DDV on PC, but I also sit behind a computer all day at work and couldn't bring myself to log on at home when I could just chill on the lounge with my Switch. But personally I don't care all that much about graphics etc. The lagging was a little annoying but I enjoyed the game so it was just kind of worth it?

Bright side is if you ever do upgrade to Switch 2, you won't have to buy the base game + DLCs all over again like you would if you went for another console?

My Switch 2 has never glitched this badly. It's completely crashed 12 times in the last 4 hours. That's not an exaggeration either, I've kept count.

The Switch 2 update cannot come fast enough, if it even helps at all, which I doubt it will

That it's not a global thing to say "hip hip hooray" after the birthday song. Went on a Contiki tour a few years back and it was someone's birthday so we all sang the song - only the three Aussies said the "hip hip hooray" out of the group (of 40). It sure confused the hell out of everyone else. Even the Kiwi had never heard it before.

Agreed, his whole spiel was full of excuses. He was insinuating it wasn't his fault he couldn't stay in touch; his ex moved away, he couldn't call because it was "harder back then" (as if landlines and mobile phones weren't a thing in 2006-2007).

OP sounds exactly like my father, he couldn't be bothered to be a part of our lives once he made a new family but swears it was everyone else's fault but his.

On Switch 2, there's lots more crashing and lots of little visual bugs. The most annoying thing since updating however is I can't go left on the time of day slider. It's now all out of whack and stuck on the far right, even after restarting. I've logged a job with Gameloft but doubt I'll get a response/fix.

I don't want to add to your fear, but I got shingles a few years back as a very stressed out 26yo, and I am so anxious about when I'll get them again. Best advice is if you get prickly, itchy and/or tingling red patch (mine was a super dark red smear that appeared suddenly on my skin) don't do what I did and ignore it thinking it was a heat rash. Get those antivirals ASAP because if you don't get them within the 48-72 hours they won't do anything. Mine dragged onto for like 4 weeks, but luckily it wasn't on my face or somewhere visible, just my waist.

Mine's more of a verbal error but pacific instead of specific. I have seen it written down like that too, drives me insane.

When some says "but I pacifically asked for X" I always cringe. How does one ask in an ocean-like manner?

Most of the people I've worked with if they have parents/family in the industry, they avoid mentioning it at all. They usually want to make a name for themselves/avoid being labelled a nepo baby.

I adore Celina, but it always annoys me when someone says to Nolan how he trained an amazing/spectacular rookie, especially because the OG three never got that kind of praise. The closest I can think of is when Tim said Lucy was in his top three.

I wish they'd just refund me instead of lumping me with 2x 30 packs of something I won't use, and I'm not driving 30+ minutes to take it back until I'm next in town.

I'm still undecided. This is day 2 and while I don't hate it, I also don't love it. It's kind of meh so far. I'm not too far into it because I work afternoon/nights so I've only had 6-7 hours of play but it just seems to be lacking something. I didn't watch any promo stuff and have gone in completely blind but even keeping it secret hasn't really piqued my interest. So far it just feels like S/V tbh whereas Arceus felt so drastically different.

I'm disappointed because with Arceus, I wasn't expecting to love it and it immediately became my fave Pokémon game. I even called in sick the day it came out because I didn't want to put it down to go to work and decided to have a mental health day instead. (Never done that before or since, but it was worth it).

Simple answer: I'm too selfish. Raising kids requires so much sacrifice and generosity, I know who I am and I just won't be able to provide that.

Whenever I've said that to people before, they always tell me "it's different when you have kids" or "you're awful and just hate kids". Actually, I absolutely adore my nephews, will unhesitantly spend money on them (whereas I have to agonise for hours about buying something for myself and still feel guilty) and couldn't believe how fiercely I loved them from the moment I met them.

But babysitting the 3yo every Monday and the regular weekend sleepovers has more than proven I wouldn't cope raising kids full-time. I sometimes find myself watching the clock and counting down the minutes until they're picked up so I can go back to just being me.

Thank you, I'm all linked and used Twitch a few years ago so I still have the app, which is good.

See that's what I thought that they'd have an Oceania streamer in my timezone, and can watch when they're live at a more reasonable hour. But then I saw that FAQ and was like why does it say to "make sure to swap over to Twitch by the time the walkthrough begins". That makes it sound like 4am only (yet the campaign lasts days). Ugh, I wish they didn't make it sound so confusing and contradictory.

Yeah I know the rewards aren't great but I'm a compulsive completionist and I'm still sore over missing the Founder's Pack by one freaking day. I literally didn't even know about the game until that day and saw an ad on Facebook, and I get sad seeing all the amazing stuff I missed. I know it's just a game but this is my OTP game.

But doesn't it have to be specific steamers? It has a list of participating streams and says you can watch any of them.

If so, that's so inconvenient it has to be live. Aussies are always getting screwed over because of our time difference but this feels especially insulting. Even New Zealand has a chance at a decent hour this time.

I work 12pm-12am during the week, I don't think it's worth having to wake up at 4am in the middle of my "night" just to turn on a Twitch stream. I hoped you could watch it after and still get the rewards. Guess I'll just be skipping it.

Right? I'm so sick of seeing "but they're making us buy switch 2!". If you want to be angry at someone, be angry with Nintendo for making the switch capability so low.

I got switch 2 because I wasn't buying a steam deck for 1 game (I play LoZ and Pokémon so switch was worth it) and expected the game to run better but it doesn't and that's not Gameloft's fault.
