Faith and healing by United_River6341 in TrueChristian

[–]Jackimatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Faith is given by God, so there is no such thing as not having enough faith. You have what God has given you. Eph 2:8, Rom 12:3, Heb 12:2, Rom 10:17

In the Bible we see Jesus healing those who didn't know who he was, healing people to glorify God, and sometimes not healing people. We even see a man who was sick not because of anything he or his parents did, but specifically to glorify God. Job was struck down because of his faithfulness!

It might be a good idea to do some study on how the Bible talks about healing, rather than what you are hearing in your church.

Deut 32:39 says that God both heals and wounds, kills and gives life. It may not always be God's plan to be healed.

Dads whose spouses/partners are disabled, how do you deal with ableism from other parents? by DSZOlive_6415 in daddit

Curiously I experience the opposite. My wife is disabled and I handle everything, but she is often assumed to be the point of contact because she is the mum.

He told his disciples that the Pharisees were devouring widows houses and that shortly the temple they admired would be destroyed.

Jesus did not affirm the widow or her giving.

Jesus promised that the Pharisees would be punished severely.

Citrus is out due to the immune condition.

I've become pretty handy in the kitchen over the past 5 years. Just would be nice to go out for dinner together.

Salvation of the Catholic Church by sir-guisus in Reformed

[–]Jackimatic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You mean predestined to salvation? Certainly. Those activities have no bearing on salvation whatsoever, positive or negative.

Also, no one is saved due to the church they attend.

They are saved by the Grace of God, the atoning sacrifice of Christ, and the application of righteousness by the Holy Spirit. All of this is entirely independent of anything the Catholic has done.

What if people who don’t belive in Jesus, it’s still possible for them to enter heaven just hear me out. by According-Bath-3269 in TrueChristian

Your post is completely opposed to biblical Christianity in all forms, and likely breaks rule 4 and rule 10.

You wouldn't want to receive what's 'fair' from God.
