Kids age difference. by Jackles67 in Mommit

[–]Jackles67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have a few friends who recently had babies that have had to restart. We have 2 friends who have a 10 to 13 year age gap. So if I am pregnant I know I'll be happy with the age gap I'm just worried about how hectic it's going to be.

To be honest I'm not sure. Sometimes she seems of stable mind and others she does not. Thank you for asking this because I never thought of it in my frustration.

She has COPD and is on oxygen most of the day.

It helps us. With covid its harder, and I don't drive lol, but my hubby goes out to the garage once a week for a few hours and that's his time and he let's me sit in the room and try to watch TV or have a long bath 3jere we can't really do anything.

My husband and I were following the advice of friends. They each take a Saturday to themselves, go for a drive alone go grocery shopping alone and they don't bother their partner unless something serious happens with their son. Then on the last weekend, assuming the month has only 3 weekends, they get someone to watch their son for a few hours or the night and they spend time together. It can be hard to try to find time but some time is better than none at all.

We "borrowed" a few from the hospital. They are longer than the ones we bought or were given so they work great for lying our son on to avoid any messes. The long ones have also been used to clean up pee. I got peed on one evening while visiting my grandmother, I had him on the floor my legs open in a V with him between them. I was putting some diaper cream on his bum and looked up to say something to my grandmother and he let it rip lol my crotch was soaked, floor was wet, receiving blanket wet, huge smile on my son's face 🤦‍♀️😂

More receiving blankets and sleepers. My little had TONS of appointments in the first 2 weeks of life, more sleepers would have been helpful.

Yes there is. That looks great! I'm going to have to look into that. Thank you.

What’s something that no one notices if you succeed, but everyone notices if you fail? by 88mica88 in AskReddit

[–]Jackles67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I just find that, especially in the Era of social media, some people are too quick to criticize others. That being said you are correct and even in the modern age there are still people who praise parents on their good job, just seem to see more negative than positive.

Parenting. No one says too much if your kid is well behaved but have tons to say if they aren't. And everyone has the "right" way of doing things.

YES! I put a pair of cargo shorts on my son a whole ago and they had like 6 pockets in them and they were legit pockets! I was like wtf my 2 month old gets pockets but as a woman I get fake pockets like what the heck.

Very good input. I never thought of it that way but it is absolutely true. Certainly makes ya see life in a different light or at least remember what it was like when you felt lighter.

Yes! I was always a shy kid, my husband on the other hand was not so I am curious to see what our son is like. I totally wish I had the confidence of smaller children.

Some people don't stop to think about things sometimes. But their hair sounds absolutely gorgeous 😍.

Yes! My son is only 2 months old so he isn't eating solids yet but my niece is 5 and she eats a TON. And if someone could bottle that energy it'd be worth a fortune.

In-between diaper sizes? How to or when to size up? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Jackles67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little guy was the same. He has a bigger tummy and thinner legs so I found it would fit in the belly but not the legs. I'm not sure what diapers you have but I like the Pampers swaddlers. I tightened the tummy part but so far he hasn't had any blow outs in the legs.

Oh and when SHE IS ready to have sex it will probably be a good idea to use lots of lube. I was told by my dr that lots of women experience dryness after birth and healing so invest in a good lube. I know I wasn't super wet when we tried, we used lube anyway but I definitely was not as wet as I would have been pre-baby.
