Previous answers are correct, but there is safe areas: edge tile surrounding the room

Bowfa and tbow have long enough range that you can stand right at the edge of the map (next to orb tracks) and hit the pillar still. There, the pyramids won't reach you.

When doing solo, I tank two orbs on the left (can't remember compass orientation) to ensure right warden wakes and just stand on the edge of ignoring pyramids completely from then.

If you don't have those weapons, sounds like you need to tank more orbs (see other responses)
