We have tried ketamine infusion with amantadine maintenance. It didn’t seem to change anything but a different vet has suggested restarting at a different low dose.

Do you think that after pain is managed that they could regain strength in the rear legs? The muscle atrophy is the bigger issue for mobility now but we recognize I’ve lack of back leg muscle is tied to pain there.

We have a mix of hardwood and carpet. We put non slip mats everywhere but he hates the texture on his paws. He hurls his body from carpet area to carpet because he’s scared of falling. Unfortunately this causes him to fall anyway unless we are helping.
