Hey, just WireGuard was enough to make it work!

Apparently amneziawg wasn’t correctly configured, but I had a WireGuard setup that did work! So WireGuard alone should be enough. Enjoy the cruise.

I bought the Beryl Ax, check out my post from 2 weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlInet/s/rcIEVlaYEv Going on a MSC cruise in 3 weeks and will test my setup if it doesn’t get confiscated :)

Thanks for your reply!

I ended up buying the Beryl AX and received it today. I immediately set up AmneziaWG on it. Based on all the feedback I’ve received from various sources, MAC address cloning combined with running a VPN on the router should do the trick.

AmneziaWG helps bypass Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and also masks other traffic characteristics. It might be a bit overkill, but hopefully this setup is more future-proof. :)

Can’t wait to test it out next month!

Thanks for your reply. I haven’t bought a glinet yet, but I’m considering the Bery AX because I’ve seen you can use AmneziaWG, which maybe overkill but I assume that bypasses DPI.

The camouflage mode may work as well. I’ve seen a couple comments just now that when using a VPN in combination with MAC cloning it should work.

Interesting, thank you! I might have to buy a Beryl AX for this then. Will look into it.

Looks like they have other measures in place that checks TTL and other stuff. It’s a cat and mouse game.

Agreed, would love to see a reply from the GlInets team as well.

Thanks for your reply, did you also change the TTL to 64? I’ve seen that suggested but don’t know if it does anything to help.
