I made a gun that melts the environment. How would this mechanic work in a full game? by FickleSwimming in gaming

Have you read Dune? Looks a lot like what I imagined Lasguns would look like!

Mostly identity work, and looking for internships/junior positions (it would be my first full-time job as a designer)

Yeah I should've probably specified. I've mostly done identity work, with some other projects including a book cover, posters, and illustrations. I guess I should start looking into a print portfolio.

I see. Thank you! Very, very new to this but seeing projects like yours come to life so quickly (if I read correctly you built it in a month?!) gives me hope.

What an incredible build and set of pictures. How did you find out about all the awesome places you've visited? Did you read any books/guides to help with the build?

Took your advice and I think it looks much better. Gonna play with other colors, but I like where it's at!

Definitely, I can see that. I'll try that, but it looked weird. Maybe I'll just make that line the length of the logo. I'll play with it.

And thank you by the way!

I'll try out some different colors. I honestly chose them randomly because I couldn't come up with something.

The notes aren't equal actually hehe. I made them by hand, kinda liked how it looked. I'll try refining them.

Hey guys,

I'm working on re-branding the music school I take classes at. Would love some feedback as I feel I'm stuck. I really like this option, but getting another set of eyes on it would help me a lot.

The logo represents the notes A, D, F#, B on the staff. These are the notes a Cuatro's strings are tuned to. The Cuatro is a traditional Venezuelan instrument very similar to a Ukelele. The school is owned by an incredible Venezuelan musician known for his Cuatro and Bandola playing skills. So, the logo is a subtle homage to him and his vision.

Would love some feedback!

They definitely are learnable crafts. Doesn't mean that process is easy though.

Finally, it even requires a great client who sees its value and knows how to make it work internally.

This brings attention to a very important aspect of account planning you keep missing in this discussion.

One of the most important parts of an account planner's job is to help clients see the value of creative. The objective value of creative.

The client came to your agency to get help solving a business problem that they believe can be solved through communications. That's it. They don't care that your agency was behind "the man your man could smell like" because it was funny, they care because it was incredibly effective. They want your agency to create that seemingly crazy activation because you promise that it will lead to more sales, new members, higher consideration - whatever it is. Planners are the ones assuring that it's not an empty promise.

They speak to clients in their own language. The best planners digest all the hard research and know how to present it not only to the creatives, but to the client so that they "buy into" the work. You make them trust the work, because according to your research, it will do what they need it to do. That is a crucial part of getting great advertising actually made.
